With over 5,000 years of history, China has its fair share of experience when it comes to protecting its own cultural heritage. But short of collecting and cataloging cultural relics and artifacts, what else should the country do to ensure that its people understand its history?
We speak to the Director of China's Palace Museum in Beijing, Shan Jixiang, who says that his biggest challenge is how to make sure the museum's collections adequately educate the public about its past, present and future. He also says that modern society and civilization still have much to learn from the ones that preceded us thousands of years ago.
