Three days ago, the stars of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, arrived in Shanghai along with the film’s director, Juan Antonio García Bayona, on the third stop of their press tour for the long-awaited sequel.

The summer action blockbuster is set to hit Chinese theaters on June 15th, one week ahead of its US release, and hopes to achieve the same kind of success found at China’s box office by Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, rather than say, Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Despite the latest Avengers installment raking in a whopping $1.9 billion worldwide, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom could still conceivably beat out the superhero blockbuster in the global box office. After all, back in summer 2015, Jurassic World exceeded expectations, becoming the fifth-highest grossing film of all time, taking in $1.6 billion, beating out Avengers: Age of Ultron’s paltry $1.4 billion. It also did rather well in China, earning $221 million in total.

With the movie’s release only a few weeks away and a high bar to reach, the press tour is currently hard at work promoting this latest instance of humans somehow underestimating dinosaurs yet again.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are showering their fans with love, both in person and over social media. They’ve been having interviews, small fan meet-and-greets, and even gave a roomful of fans the first 3D screening of the movie! So far, the press tour is sailing smoothly and looks to have avoided the kind of fan-enraging calamity that surrounded the disastrous Avengers Shanghai event.

The trio also found the time to take in some of Shanghai’s most famous sites. Like the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower in the smog:

And the Pudong skyline in the dark:

On Twitter, Pratt pronounced his love for Shanghai, though he seems to prefer the woods:

And his visit to our fair city may well have peaked on the ride into town:

Although the cast won’t be here for much longer, you could still get lucky, so be on the lookout.
