Part-time Research Assistant in the School of Creative Media (Appointment up to 30 June 2023)

职位描述：

Project

Reverse Panopticon: A Modular Multi-Camera System for Remotely Teaching Lectures Involving Practical Demonstrations, Providing Students with a Choice of Viewing Perspective

Duties

The appointee will collaborate with the project researchers to achieve real time emotion classification using EEG data and Physiological data (e.g. ECG, GSR, HRV) for AR/VR storytelling; and to create interactive installations using StyleGAN and CycleGAN.

Requirements

- A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines, with no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University;

- Capability of implementing basic Machine Learning models (e.g. PCA, LDA/FLD, SVM) and Deep Learning models (e.g. CNN, RNN, GAN);

- Experience in developing applications using Deep Learning or classical Machine Learning, including but not limited to SVM, MLP/CNN/RNN architectures, GAN, active learning and model complexity reduction techniques;

- Experience in one or more Deep Learning packages including but not limited to TensorFlow and PyTorch; and

- Proficiency in Python programming and Ubuntu system usage are required.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
