逸空间荣幸地宣布将于4月16日推出群展「被遮蔽的物欲」,本次展览共呈现陈文波、郝建涛、李易纹、娄申义、杨欣嘉五位艺术家的作品。
East Gallery is honored to announce that it will present a group exhibition "Veiled Material Desire" on April 16th. This exhibition will present works by five artists:Chen wenbo, Hao Jiantao, Li Yiwen, Lou Shenyi and Yang Xinjia.

如何在今天用当代人个体化的视角去理解绘画与图像生产、绘画与美术史、绘画与社会文化变迁之间关系,并在创作中运用高辨识度的艺术语言去澄亮个人所体悟,也许是绘画在今天值得不断探索的方向之一。
How to understand the relationship between painting and image production, painting and art history, and painting and social and cultural changes from modern individuals' perspectives, and to use highly recognizable art language in the creation to clarify the personal experience, may be one of the directions in painting that is worth exploring constantly today.

在多数绘画中,艺术家会搭建叙事性的文本结构。而绘画中叙事性减弱的一个极端走向是艺术家选择了对某一物的刻画。表现物,其实是表现绘画语言的一种方式。
In most paintings, the artist will build a narrative text structure. However, an extreme trend of weakening narrative in painting is that the artist chooses to depict a certain object. Expression of objects, in fact, is a way to express the language of painting.

笔触形象-美学倾向-现实反映-观念思考,这条环形链状结构即是当下绘画创作的外在视域。如果说“审美的世界就是恋物的世界”,那么在当下的绘画中格物之所得、拜物之反思就显得尤为重要。艺术家所描绘的物不是简单的概念转化符号,而是对事物形象的重构,是对自己体验进行的再体验。就像文字的讲述只能勾勒出一幅画的轮廓,绘画中所特有的无法言说的部分只能交还给观看去解决。当一件件作品进入展厅中呈现,便也回归为一件物体,它等待着观众的驻足、凝视、进入、对话,甚至是再次创造。
Brushstroke image, aesthetic tendency, realistic reflection and conceptual thinking, this circular chain structure is the external horizon of contemporary painting. If "the aesthetic world is the world of fetishism," then in the present painting, the gains of inquiries about objects and the reflection of object worship are particularly important. The objects depicted by the artist are not simple symbols of concept transformation, but the reconstruction of the image of things and the re-experience of their own experience. Just as words can only describe the outline of a painting, the unique unspoken parts of painting can only be returned to the viewing to solve. When each piece of work is presented in the exhibition hall, it will return to an object, waiting for the audience to stop, gaze, enter, dialogue, and even create again.

无论在生活中,还是在绘画中,我们总是习惯于注视那些最绚丽的部分。此次展览我们希望通过艺术家超凡的想象力和感知力藉由作品带观者洞察并重新认识那部分被遮蔽的世界和现实。
Whether in life, or in painting, we are always used to look at those parts of the most beautiful. In this exhibition, we hope that through the artist's extraordinary imagination and perception, and through the works, to bring the audience insights and re-understanding of the hidden world and reality.
