Sat Arora: YCIS Beijing’s Chief Technologist 北京耀中的首席技术官

In this week’s Teacher Profile, we highlight the incredible work and commitment of Sat Arora, Secondary Technology Integrator at Yew Chung International School of Beijing. Originally from India, Sat has taught computer science since 1999, when he first developed a passion for education through tutoring his university classmates.

在这周的教师介绍中，我们将为大家介绍北京耀中国际学校中学技术整合老师Sat Arora为学校做出的杰出贡献。Sat 老师来自印度，自1999年开始教授计算机科学。那时，他在教导他的大学同学学习计算机中找到了对教育的热忱。

Speaking with Sat, he shares stories of what he loves about living in China, the aspects of teaching that he finds most rewarding, and offers tips for students who also want to pursue careers in technology.

在和Sat 老师沟通时，他分享了他在中国生活喜爱做的事，在教学中他发现最有回报的事，以及为那些想在技术领域深造的学生提供建议。

Opinion as Fact 是见解，也是事实

After graduating from university and teaching in India for several years, Sat’s first overseas experience was in South East Asia. He taught computer science both in Jakarta and Bali, before moving to Kuala Lumpur where he was the Head of Technology for a group of six different IB schools. Yet it was upon coming to Beijing that he found his second home, saying that YCIS Beijing is one of the best schools in the world.

大学毕业后，Sat老师在印度做了几年教学。随后到东南亚，在雅加达和巴厘岛教授电脑科学。后来去了吉隆坡，为六个不同的IB学校担任技术主管。直到到了北京，他发现他找到了第二个家，并坦言北京耀中国际学校是世界上最好的学校之一。

“I’ve been to different places,” he explains, “and I keep meeting people from different countries. And I’ve found that YCIS Beijing is truly one of the best schools in the world – in terms of technology, infrastructure, resources, student body, teachers, leadership, school management, everything. Though it’s my personal opinion, I do believe that it’s fact as well.”

Sat老师解释道：“我到过很多不同的地方，并认识来自不同国家的人。我认为北京耀中国际学校是世界上最好的学校之一。学校的技术、设施、资源、学生组织、老师、领导团队、学校管理等都很好。尽管这只是我的个人意见，但我相信这也是个事实。”
