Bridget Ren: Broadening My Horizons 任敬老师：耀中开阔了我的眼界

In this week’s Teacher Profile, we highlight one of Yew Chung International School of Beijing’s most experienced educators, ECE Co-Teacher Bridget Ren. A local Beijinger, Bridget has been with YCIS Beijing for 11 years, where her supportive team of colleagues and engaging work environment continues to fuel her passion for teaching. 

在这一期的教师简介中，我们将向大家介绍北京耀中国际学校最有经验的教师之一幼教部任敬老师。任老师是北京本地人，在北京耀中国际学校执教逾11年。她说北京耀中密切协作的团队和支持性的环境继续点燃着她教学的热情。 

In speaking with Bridget, she shares stories of her time at YCIS Beijing, including the most inspiring and challenging aspects of her job, what it’s like to meet her students many years after they’ve left kindergarten, and why she feels that the YCIS Beijing ECE programme is so popular.

在和任老师交谈的时候，她分享了她在耀中执教的日子，其中包括她工作中最受启迪的和最具挑战的方面，和多年前的毕业生再相见的情景以及她认为耀中幼儿园备受欢迎的原因。

Growing Up in Beijing

成长在北京

Born in Beijing to a traditional Chinese family, Bridget had few opportunities to meet foreigners when growing up. “When I joined YCIS Beijing 11 years ago,” she says, “it was the first time that I was able to meet and make friends with foreigners.”

任老师出生在北京的一个传统家庭，那时候很少机会能碰到外国人。“11年前，我加入北京耀中的时候，是我第一次见外国人并和他们交朋友。”

In addition to her love of working with children, she’s found that doing so in an international school setting has provided her with many opportunities for self-growth by broadening her outlook and learning about the many different cultures of her colleagues and students.

另外，任老师特别喜欢和小朋友在一起，在国际学校工作给了她许多自我成长和开阔眼界的机会，学习及了解同事和学生不同的国家及文化。
