Girls Volleyball Team Ends on a High 女子排球队完美收官

Last weekend was the final ISAC volleyball tournament of the season and our girls under 14 team finished on a high. P.E. teacher, Miss Amy Sims, gives us a match report. 

本赛季最后一场ISAC排球锦标赛于上周末进行，我校14岁以下女子排球队完美收官。体育老师Amy Sims女士对本次比赛进行了报道。

The tournament was hosted at the German school, DPB, in Chaoyang. There were five teams in our league, and we played every other team over the course of the day. All those matches in one day takes a lot of stamina but while the girls felt tired towards the end, they didn’t let it show. 

比赛在北京德国使馆学校举办。联赛中共有五支球队，我们在一天中与每支球队进行了比赛。这需要消耗大量体力，姑娘们在最后都感到非常疲惫，但她们并没有表现出来。

We won three out of four games – and the one we lost was a real neck-and-neck battle that could have gone either way. Our team showed incredible determination, never giving up, cheering each other on, and giving each game their all. It was brilliant to see. 

我们在四场比赛中赢了三场—输的是一场势均力敌的比赛。我们的球队表现出了令人难以置信的决心、他们从不放弃互相鼓励，全身心的投入到每场比赛。我非常高兴能看到她们如此表现。

We finished in 2nd place and came home with a trophy and medals. I am also very proud to share that we were presented with the Sportsmanship Award. This award is voted on by all of the players, and YCIS Beijing came on top for their exceptional attitude on the court. We couldn’t have hoped for a better end to a strong season for our under 14 girls.

我们获得了第二名并带着奖杯和奖牌归校，同时获得了体育精神奖，这让我感到非常自豪。这个奖项是由所有球员投票决定的。北京耀中因在场上表现出过人的精神面貌而获此殊荣。我们14岁以下姑娘们在这个赛季里出乎意料的取得了如此出众的成绩。

Our warmest congratulations to the team. This weekend our under 19 basketball team are playing in the ACAMIS tournament in Qingdao. We’re looking forward to reporting on the results soon!
