Chinese New Year is all about coming together as a family – and doing arts and crafts with your children is a great way to connect. Ms Andrea Kang, Chinese Team Leader, shares some Spring Festival craft ideas that you can do at home!
春节就是一家人团聚在一起—与孩子一起做手工艺品就是一项很好的活动。中文团队领导Andrea Kang女士分享了一些您可以在家制作春节手工艺品的建议！
Clay Zodiac Animals (for ECE children)
十二生肖黏土（适用于幼儿园孩子）
Using modelling clay such as Crayola Air-Dry Clay and Model Magic, try making models of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac and practise saying their names in Chinese!
使用Crayola Air-Dry Clay和Model Magic等黏土模具，尝试制作十二生肖的动物模型并练习用中文说出它们的名字！
Traditional Paper Cutting (for Primary children)
传统剪纸（适合小学生）
Take a piece of square red paper, fold it into a triangle, sketch out some patterns with a pencil and cut around them. When you unfold the paper, you will have a beautiful pattern that you can then stick on your windows.
拿一块方形红纸，将其折叠成三角形，用铅笔勾勒出一些图案并沿着线剪裁。当展开纸张时，你会得到美丽的图案，然后你可以将它贴在你的窗户上。
Brush Pen Calligraphy (for Lower Secondary students)
毛笔书法（适合初中生）
Students familiar with written characters can try their hand at some traditional calligraphy. Using ink and a brush pen, try writing fú (福) meaning “fortune” or chūn (春) meaning “spring” on squares of red paper. Then stick them to doors, cupboards and walls around your home!
熟悉写中文的学生可以尝试一些传统的书法。使用墨汁和毛笔，尝试在正方形的红纸上写fú（福）意思是“幸福”，或chūn（春）意思是“春天”。然后把它们贴在你家的门、橱柜和墙上！
Lantern Decorating (for Upper Secondary)
画灯笼（适合高中生）
You can buy undecorated paper lanterns online. Using your brush pen and ink, try writing characters on these lanterns, then put a light inside and suspend around the room.
您可以在网上购买空白的纸灯笼。使用画笔和墨水，尝试在这些灯笼上写字，然后在灯笼里安装一个灯并挂在屋子里。
Last but not least, make sure you wish your Chinese colleagues and friends a “xīn nián kuài lè!”
