2022 BEST ALBUMS 年最佳唱片
这么说吧，这是旋风般的一年。我去年可能也说过类似的话——但2022年并不仅仅是胡闹一下；经历了精神、身体甚至存在意义上的三重疲惫——三个月封控，接着又是三个月对各演出场地的严格限制；所以，聆听新的音乐来获取一些幸福感已成为某种必要。封控期间，我向窗外同样沮丧的邻居们播放音乐成了一种日常仪式；而现在与你们分享这些音乐便是我与外部世界的唯一联结。

It’s been a whirlwind year, to say the least. I probably said that last year too - but 2022 did not fuck around. Mentally, physically, and existentially exhausting - with a three-month lockdown followed by another three months of stalemates for venues. In that sense, listening to new music became essential to my well-being. Blasting it outside my window to equally frustrated neighbors became a daily ritual during lockdown. And sharing it with you became my only connection to the outside world.

It may have seemed like a quiet year on the ground, but looking at the staggering amount of stellar releases this year, particularly from emerging acts, proves that it's been busier than ever over the speakers. More and more bands went DIY this year - from the crowd-founded XiaoWang小王 to the psychedelic opus that was Jimaoxin’s debut. Bands like The Columbian Cola Ltd.哥伦比亚可乐 emerged seemingly out of nowhere well true blue punk rock remains more alive than ever in bands like Stick Xiaoming Again and Again反复攻击小明. The indie pop scene still manages to surprise with acts like Changsha’s Early Park鳄梨帕克, while j-fever 小老虎, Eddie Beatz, and Zhou Shijue 周士爵 somehow managed to top their release from last year. Imprints like Old Heaven Books have emerged as some of the most important archivists this year. And Ruby Eyes and Maybe Mars put out two of my favorite releases - the psych folk masterpiece from Zhejiang’s YePeng也朋 and the delightful absurd debut from Shijiazhuang duo Police and Pea暴力香槟. And that’s just my top ten.
而宜听音乐和太空果味这样的厂牌在过去一年中仍在继续培养着电子、迷幻和爵士世界中最好的乐队们，把爱与关怀播撒进每一张专辑中；只要感受一下秦铭、Sleeping Dogs和固体李逵在美学上存在多么显著的差异性你就会懂。兵马司继续扩展他们的名录，为横冲直撞开拓前路的一群新一代摇滚乐手（比如成都的返校日）敞开大门。赤瞳也推出了一些重磅作品——特别是绝对纯洁电光火石般的首专，以及卧轨的火车再次重塑自我的全长专辑……说到年度巨作，当然不能把开创性的后摇传奇乐队——惘闻，他们当然推出了今年最好的作品之一。而摩登天空总能带给我一些惊喜——群像的新EP让我久久沉默无言，文兆杰和表情银行则攀上了令人眩晕的流行音乐新高度。

Labels like Eating Music and SpaceFurity continue to cultivate some of the best acts in the electronic, psych and jazz worlds - putting love and care into each release to great effect - just feel how distinctly different vii M 秦铭, Sleeping Dogs and Solid Liqui固体李逵 are in terms of aesthetics. Maybe Mars continues expanding their catalogue to a new generation of rockers that seem to be forging their own path - such as Chengdu’s Riot in School返校日. Ruby Eyes as well has put out some heavy hitters - particularly Absolute Purity绝对纯洁’s electrifying debut as well as the beautifully realized new LP from Hangzhou’s Railway Suicide Club卧轨的火车, once again reinventing themselves. Speaking of heavy hitters - never count out the seminal post rock legends Wang Wen惘闻 - how could they not put out one of the year’s best. And Modern Sky always manages to throw a couple of curve balls my way - Qunxiang群像's newest EP knocked me senseless. Other surprises included the dizzying pop heights of Wen Zhaojie and Minik Banka, both tapping into something I didn’t even realize I needed.

In the experimental world, acts like gogoj and Li Daiguo李带菓 continue to put out some of the most gripping work out there, while seminal musician Yangfan, known mostly these days for her work behind the scenes, got to share her large eclectic body of work via Bie Records. Jazz songstress Voision Xi 喜辰晨 put out her beautifully debut Lost For Words - one of the most supple and satisfying additions to the world of contemporary jazz. And on the electronic front, Wuhan’s Night Swimmer finally got his due with his Shy People release - another emerging electronic label that made a big splash this year.
朋克场景带来了一些出乎意料的礼物，比如灯塔异客（昆明的疯狂伙计们）和秘密爱人（洛阳的滚仔们）；情绪摇滚则在Diels-Alder乐队（合肥）的声音中大放异彩，而前北京人Nathan Borofka在他的最后一张中国专辑中给了我的北京老家一份最具情感破坏力的动人告别；最后还有年轻、野心勃勃的云南乐队HappyDeath!——他们正是一份有关南方现场音乐活力的有力证明。

The punk scene brought some left-field surprises from newcomers like Kunming psychobilly trip The Lighthouse Stranger灯塔异客 to Luoyang rockers SUBASS秘密爱人. Emo rock got its due via Hefei’s Diels-Alder, and former Beijing expat Nathan Borofka gave one of the most emotionally devastating and touching farewells to my old home with his final China release. And finally young and hungry Yunnan band HappyDeath! proved there is plenty of life in the scene down south.
