"Novel" 竟然是个高分词汇!?

novel (adj.)

Definition: If something is so new and original that it has never been seen, used or even thought of before, call it novel. 

创新的、崭新的、新颖的、新奇的


a novel idea 

一个很创新的主意

a novel suggestion 

一个很新颖的建议

a novel approach 

一个很创新的方法

a novel experience, etc.

一个全新的体验,等



What a novel idea! 

多么新奇的想法呀!



She has suggested a novel approach to the problem.

她提出了一个很创新的方法去应对这个难题。

He came up with a novel idea to solve his financial problems. 

结果他想出了一个很有创意的办法去解决他的经济困难。



If someone tells you that you've come up with a novel idea, it's probably a compliment; not everyone is capable of original thinking. 

如果有人跟你说你的主意很novel,他很有可能是在夸奖你耶,因为并不是每个人都能创新思考的嘛。
