1. An inverted sentence is a sentence in a normally subject-first language in which the predicate verb comes before the subject.
2. An inverted sentence switches the placement of the verb before the subject AS IF IN A QUESTION.
3. Inverted sentences are used as a means of sentences STRESS or EMPHASIS.
基本语序: He is never happy.
倒装句: Never is he happy.
基本语序: He is hardly quiet.
倒装句: Hardly is he quiet.
