Chinese people celebrate

the Dragon Boat Festival 

every year.

中国人每年都过端午节。

On that day, we usually

have a dragon boat race

and make zongzi.

在那天，我们通常举行龙舟赛、包粽子。

Zongzi is a rice dumpling.

粽子是一种米做的饺子类的东西。

It looks like a triangle.

它看起来像一个三角形。

This festival

is an important festival

for remembering Qu Yuan,

a hero in Chinese history.

这个节日是为了纪念中国历史上的英雄

——屈原的一个重要节日。

Qu Yuan was angry

with the bad king.

屈原对昏君感到气愤。

He jumped into the river and died.

他跳入江中，死去了。

There was

a big fish in the river.

江中有一条大鱼。

The big fish

wanted to eat his body.

大鱼要吃他的尸体。

People rowed their boats

to save his body.

人们划着船去保住他的尸身。

People made zongzi

to feed the fish.

人们做了粽子去喂鱼。

Today we have a boat race

to remember Qu Yuan.

今天，我们举办龙舟赛来纪念屈原。
