It was wet.

It rained every day.

But the people there 

were very kind.

Did you have a good time?

The giant's garden

《巨人的花园》

Once there lived a giant.

曾经有一个巨人，

He had a big garden.

他有一个大花园。

There were 

many beautiful flowers 

and trees in it.

花园里，有许多美丽的鲜花和树木。

Birds sang in the trees

小鸟在树林里唱歌。

and children liked to play 

in the garden.

孩子们喜欢在花园里玩耍。

One day 

一天，

the giant came back 

after a long trip.

长途旅行归来。

He saw the children 

playing in his garden.

他看到孩子们都在花园里玩。

He was very angry.

他很生气。

He built a high wall 

around the garden.  

他在花园周围建了一堵高墙。

But from then on,

但是从那时起，

it was always winter 

in the garden.

花园里总是冬天。

There were no birds or flowers,

没有鸟也没有花，

and the trees were not green.

树木不再绿了。

The giant was very sad.

巨人很伤心。

One morning,

一天早晨，

the giant looked out

巨人往外看

and found many children 

playing in the garden.

发现许多孩子在花园里玩。

The trees were green 

树木变绿了，

and the birds sang again.

小鸟又回来歌唱了。

The giant came out and said,

巨人走出来说道，

"It's your garden now,

little children."

“小孩子们，现在这是你们的花园了。”

And then he pulled down the wall.

然后他把墙推倒了。
