The fisherman and the goldfish
《渔夫和金鱼的故事》
Once
there lived a poor fisherman.
从前有一个渔夫，
Every day he went to fish.
每天他都去打渔。
One day he caught a goldfish.
一天，他抓到了一条金鱼。
The fish said to him,
"Please let me go.
金鱼对他说：“请放了我，
I can give you anything you want."
我可以给你任何你想要的东西。”
The old man was kind
and he let the fish go.
渔夫很善良，放了它。
He went home and told his wife
about the goldfish.
他回家告诉他的妻子金鱼的事。
His wife got very angry and said,
他的妻子非常生气并说，
"I want a new dress.
“我想要一件新衣服。
Go and find the goldfish."
去找那条金鱼。”
The old man went back
to the sea.
这个老人回到海边。
He asked the goldfish
for a new dress.
问金鱼要了一件新衣服。
The goldfish said yes.
金鱼说好的。
The man was happy
to see his wife in a new dress,
男人看见妻子穿着新衣服很开心，
but his wife wasn't happy.
但是他的妻子不开心了。
She wanted a big house.
她想要一间大房子。
He asked the fish and
they got a big house.
他又问金鱼要了，然后它们得到一间大房子。
But his wife was still not happy.
但是他的妻子仍然不开心。
This time she wanted to
be the queen of the sea.
这次她想成为大海的女王。
The goldfish said,
"She wants too much.
That's too bad."
金鱼说，“她想要的太多了，这样不好。”
The fisherman
went back and saw his wife
in their old hut.
渔夫回来看见妻子住在他们的旧房子里。
She was in her old dress again.
她又穿上了旧衣服。
