北京是一座美妙的城市：明亮、生动、干净。这是一个色彩缤纷的大都市，生活着热情友好的人们。颜色无处不在：经典的红色、黄色、蓝色、白色和灰色与绿色、紫色以及其他色调、色调和色调的多样性相得益彰——墙壁、花朵、路标和人们的衣服。我试图用照片去捕捉这些让人惊叹的颜色。
Beijing is a wonderful city: bright, vivid, and clean. It is a colourful megalopolis with warm and friendly people living in it. The colors are all around: the classical red, yellow, blue, white, and gray is complimented by the shades of green, purple and by the diversity of other tints, tones and hues - of walls, flowers, road signs and people’s cloths. I have tried to capture this amazing variety in some of my photos.
阿列克谢·贝罗夫（Alexey Belov）是一位工作生活在北京的银行家，也是“798四季摄影展”举办以来第一位报名参展的外国摄影师。据映画廊书店得员工说，阿里克谢经常来映画廊，不过他从不说一句话，就是默默地看展览，或者在书店里翻画册。在得知自己的作品入选后，阿里克谢来到画廊介绍自己，我们才得知他几乎一句中国话都不会说，虽然他在中国已经很多年。
借此展览的机会，我们对他进行了一个简短的采访。

When did the photography begin?
什么时候开始的摄影？
答
It actually happened pretty recently. Back in January 2020 I went to Nepal, just for one week. But my flight from Kathmandu back to Beijing was cancelled, and there was no visibility on when they will be resumed. As a result, I had stay in Nepal for almost three months. So I rented a motorcycle and started to explore that wonderful country, as well as take pictures of everything around. And so I fell in love with photography. On my return back to Beijing I have bought my first camera.
实际上，这是最近发生的。2020年1月，我去了尼泊尔，只呆了一周，但我从加德满都飞回北京的航班被取消了，也看不到何时恢复。结果，我在尼泊尔呆了将近三个月。于是，我租了一辆摩托车，开始探索那个美丽的国家，并拍摄周围的一切照片。从那时起我爱上了摄影，回到北京后，我买了第一台相机。

How did interest in photography come into being?
摄影的兴趣是怎样形成的？
答
I guess that any deep interest in any activity of a human being develops further once he or she observes self-progress. Many people in this world for some reason compare themselves with others and feel unhappy. Yet it makes more sense to compare yourself with yourself and to see how your own development goes: whether you are doing better that you have been a year ago. Same with photography: as soon as you recognize that you are able to notice the beautiful moments of this world – the rest is generally pretty technical.
我想，一旦一个人观察到自己的进步，他或她对任何活动的浓厚兴趣就会进一步发展。这个世界上的许多人因为某种原因把自己和别人比较，感到不快乐。然而，将自己与自己进行比较，看看自己的发展如何，这更有意义：你是否比一年前做得更好。摄影也是如此：一旦你意识到自己能够注意到这个世界上的美丽时刻，剩下的通常都是技术性的。

Which photographer do you like?
喜欢哪位摄影师？
答
It is close to impossible to pick a single name. I do like dozens of them. But if you ask me who of the photographers impressed me most I would probably name Andre Kertesz, Tony Ray Jones, Ernst Haas and Boris Smelov. Among those who is working now are Mark Power, Harry Gruyaert, Alex Soth, Sam Abell, Sergey Maximishin, Dan Winters. There is quite a number of names as you see, and almost every week I add a new one to the list.
我喜欢很多摄影师，要挑选一个单一的名字几乎是不可能的。但如果你问我谁给我留下了最深刻的印象，我可能会说出安德烈·柯特兹、托尼·雷·琼斯、厄恩斯特·哈斯和鲍里斯·米哈伊洛夫。现在正在工作的有马克·鲍尔、哈利·格鲁亚特、埃里克·索斯、萨姆·阿贝尔、谢尔盖·马克西米申、丹·温特斯。正如你所看到的，有相当多的名字，而且几乎每周我都会在名单上增加一个新的名字。

Your photography concept?
你的摄影理念？
答
To be instinctual. To be sincere. And to be childishly curious. By apt saying by Sergey Maximishin: “Within the good photograph there is more of a God than of a photographer.” And that any good photograph is always surprising. I do respect the masters who spend hours, days and weeks in designing the compositions, selecting the necessary light and making hundreds of copies of similar images to achieve the very best angle and look. But this is not my piece of cake – I am more comfortable in doing everything intuitively and candidly.
本能和真诚，保持孩子般的好奇心。通过引用谢尔盖·马克西米申的一句话："在好的照片中，有更多的上帝行为而不是摄影师行为"（意思是当你看到一张很好的照片时，你会觉得它所展示的东西与其说是一幅精心构造的图画，不如说是令人惊奇的偶然事件）。任何好的照片都是令人惊讶的。我尊重那些花费数小时、数天和数周时间来设计构图、选择必要的光线并制作数百张类似图片的副本以达到最佳角度和外观的大师们。但这不是我的喜好，我更喜欢凭直觉和坦率地做一切。

Why started shooting the theme of color?
为什么开始拍摄色彩这个主题？
答
This world was created in color, we might appreciate and enjoy this and, equally, show this amazing variety to others. Of course, there are many apologists of black and white photography, this is a classic approach with tons of justifications around. But color communicates to us on an emotional level – it can appeal our attention, can sway our thinking, can cause a variety of reactions. It can irritate or soothe our eyes, relieve or raise our blood pressure, it can equally add to the narrative of the story. I cannot ignore all this and try to notice and capture every color I see.
这个世界是用色彩创造的，我们会欣赏并享受它，它也会向其他人展示令人惊叹的变化。当然，存在很多为黑白摄影辩护的人，这是一种经典的方法。但色彩在情感层面上与我们沟通——它会吸引我们的注意力，会影响我们的思维，会引起各种反应。它可以刺激或安抚我们的眼睛，缓解或升高我们的血压，它同样可以增加故事的叙述。我不能忽视这一切，我想试图注意并捕捉我看到的每一种颜色。
