The 3rd Tsinghua Higher Education Forum commences in Beijing
The 3rd Tsinghua Higher Education Forum officially opened today at the Beijing Conference Center, bringing together distinguished scholars, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the globe. Under the theme "Boundaries of Possibility: Empowering Higher Education with Artificial Intelligence," the forum is set to examine the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) within the higher education sector.
The opening ceremony featured remarks from prominent figures, including Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General for Education of UNESCO; Song Yi, Director General of the Department of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education; Lin Huiqing, Vice President of the China Association of Higher Education; and Li Luming, President of Tsinghua University.
A key highlight of the day was the release of the report Beyond the Horizon: The Global Development of AI-Empowered Higher Education. This comprehensive document offers a detailed analysis of the current state of AI in education, alongside strategic recommendations for institutions navigating this rapidly evolving landscape.
