My guest for this episode is Jerrie Ueberle. Jerrie founded the World Academy for the Future of Women (WAFW) in 2009, it's a bold and daring leadership program focused on developing young women for leadership roles that will address and achieve the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals (UN-MDGs) and UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs). 

本期播客的嘉宾是我的人生导师精神偶像兼忘年交 Jerrie Ueberle ，Jerrie 于2009年创建了非营利性组织世界女性未来发展学院，学院是一个严谨大胆的女性领导力项目，围绕联合国可持续发展目标（前身为联合国千禧年发展目标），通过课堂学习与项目实践来拓展自身及团队领导力，并解决实际的社会问题。

The time before MDGs to SDGs

With the World Academy comes to its 10th year anniversary, roughly 1000 members have graduated from this program, I am very proud to say that I am part of it. I joined the World Academy when I was a sophomore student in the University, and stayed in the program for three years until I graduated from my university. Starting from scratch, World Academy Alumni in Shanghai has grown to more than 50 members supporting each other.

在世界女性未来发展学院迎来10周年之际，有大约1000名学员已经从这个项目当中毕业，很荣幸的是我也是其中一员。我在大学的第二年加入了学院，经历了三年的磨练直到大学毕业。毕业前后我就直接来到了上海，但当时世界女性未来发展学院在上海籍籍无名，没有人听说过，也没有其他校友在，经过短短的5年时间，现在我们的上海校友会已经聚集了超过50名校友，彼此支持，就像当年在学校一样。

Jerrie shared her view on the topic of "self love" on this episode which is quite different from what we've been hearing. If you listen into it, you'll be drawn to her purpose-driven, value-driven action and fundamental belief, which is especially precious when we entered The Fourth Industrial Revolution when everyone talks about technology and how we equip ourselves with technology so we will not be replaced by AI and robot, but few people remind us of humanity.

It's absolutely true that Jerrie has been serving the world with all her time, energy, money, effort and connections without "taking care" of herself. In this episode, I want to present you a message might now beyond your perspective, I do hope that after listening to this episode, it will bridge the understanding gap and help you see a bigger world.

Jerrie is a true leader who I look up to. Today is Jerrie's 78 year-old birthday (January 16, Arizona time), I am delighted to share her thoughts and wisdom with you, as a gift to her as well.

When Jerrie was interviewed after the Inaugural IPWS Leadership Summit in 2016, she was asked "what‘s excite you? what's the next year hope for you?"

I remember clearly that Jerrie said, "the next year is to expand to as many campus as we can". That's 2016.

我清楚地记得 Jerrie 当时说道 “下一年我们希望能够把项目扩展到更多的学校”。

A leader has a vision, a leader has the leadership that turn a vision into reality. 

World Academy has started its chapter in Nepal in 2017, and its chapter in Bangladesh in 2018.

2017年，世界女性未来发展学院在尼泊尔正式开展当地教学工作。2018年，世界女性未来发展学院在孟加拉国又起一个新据点。
