The 2nd CCGAR Research Camp on Auditing and Accounting
Friday, May 25, 2018 – Saturday, May 26, 2018 @ Chengdu, Sichuan, China
The Center for Chinese Government Auditing Research (CCGAR) and Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM) at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) are pleased to announce the 2nd Research Camp on Auditing and Accounting. This event will be held at SWUFE on May 25 - 26 of 2018 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, and sponsored by Golden Finance (Golden Education Co., Ltd).
The purpose of research camp is to bring together leading scholars, practitioners and Ph.D. students working on current issues in auditing and accounting. The camp will comprise one-day keynote speeches and one-day paper presentations. CCGAR and RIEM are committed to hosting the research camp on a yearly basis and developing it into a premier research conference in China.
For this year’s camp, we are very excited to announce Professor Linda Myers from University of Tennessee, Knoxville as our keynote speaker. Prof. Myers is a world-renowned accounting and auditing scholar, an editor at Contemporary Accounting Research, Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, and Accounting Horizons and an associated editor at Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance.
The organizers encourage submission of theoretical, archival and experimental studies on variety of issues in auditing and accounting. The deadline for submission is April 30, 2018. Manuscripts (English only) should be submitted to Lin Liao at liaolin@swufe.edu.cn. Please indicate “your name + paper title” in the subject of email. Authors of selected papers will be notified no later than May 11, 2018. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.
There is no fee to attend the research camp. Participants will cover their own travel and accommodation costs. However, we will provide three nights’ accommodation to authors whose papers are accepted for the presentation and a cash price will be awarded for the best paper.
