下面我们继续本周《新概念英语2》第10课的重点句型或语法的分享。先来读一读课文：
一、课文原文
Lesson 10 Not for jazz
We have an old musical instrument. It is called a clavichord. It was made in Germany in 1681. Our clavichord is kept in the living room. It has belonged to our family for a long time. The instrument was bought by my grandfather many years ago. Recently it was damaged by a visitor. She tried to play jazz on it! She struck the keys too hard and two of the strings were broken. My father was shocked. Now we are not allowed to touch it. It is being repaired by a friend of my father's.

二、重点句型或语法
本课主要复习被动语态，在新概念第一册141-144课里，我们学习了被动语态的用法。被动语态的基本构成为：
“ 受动者+be+done+by+施动者+其他成分 ”
被动语态几乎可以用于所有时态中，本课侧重在以下时态的使用。
1. 一般现在时
课文例句：
It is called a clavichord.
Our clavichord is kept in the living room.
举例：
Butter is made from milk.
How often are these rooms cleaned?
2. 一般过去时
课文例句：
The instrument was bought by my grandfather many years ago.
举例：
We weren’t invited to the party last week.
When was the telephone invented?
3. 现在进行时
课文例句：
It is being repaired by a friend of my father’s.
举例：
My car is at the garage. It is being repaired.
双宾动词的被动语态，可以变成两句被动句。以give为例：
主动语态：Somebody gave the police the information.
被动句1：The police were given the information.
被动句2：The information was given to the police.
上面两句被动句都正确，通常我们使用被动句1，也就是将表示人的间接宾语做为被动句的受动者。再以双宾动词offer举例：
I’ve been offered the job, but I don’t think I’ll accept it.
（主动语态: They have offered me the job...）
