深圳观澜湖艺工场的第二位驻地艺术家谢文蒂将呈现个展“漏气”。展览将展出她在驻地期间创作的作品。
物体为什么长成各种形状，都有其道理，只要是人造的，有很大一部分是作为工具存在，有时是因为相互之间的作用力促使它们成形；艺术家作为“造物者”，怎样对材料进行编排和选择，制造形与形之间的关系，是这个展览中想要讨论的。玻璃作为这些材料中相对的主角，有着模糊边界、无形之形的作用，像是严丝合缝中漏了口气。“漏”是一种状态，封闭不紧，光线透入，这里指的不是“漏雨”的狼狈，可以是“漏光”的树影婆娑的美妙。“气”是在创作这些形体形态时所秉持的一鼓作“气”，然而也希望它们看上去是恣意的，被悄悄放了点儿气，不太满，不太尽，这样也许更可爱。展览的英文名“Form Form Form”，是“漏气”的声音，同时三个form分别是名词的“形体”、动词的“成型”以及名词“格式”。
Art & Crafts factory will be presenting the second residential artist Wendi Xie’s solo exhibition “Form Form Form”, which will be showing the works she created during the residency.
In human made world, the form of objects come from their function, some are formed because of the active force between each other. In artist’s work, artist as the object maker, the ways to arrange and choose material, to evoke relationship among forms, are being shown in this exhibition. For the main material – glass, functioning as blurring boundary, formless form, as though air leaking out of closed form. “Leaking Air”, Chinese title of the exhibition, not means any awkward situation that beyond expectation, but the pleasure moment referring to such as light permeating leafs. ‘Air’, alternative to ‘Qi’, referring to the energy running through the forms while the artist was making them. However the artist wishes the forms look more or less effortless, not over tight. The English title ‘Form Form Form’ is the sound of ‘Leaking air’, meanwhile, is a noun, also a verb, means the form itself and the process.
