撤稿事件发生后，中国科协立即与施普林格•自然出版集团开展座谈，展示出维护中国科技形象的诚意。撤稿的原因是多方面的，出版集团和期刊编辑存在内控机制不完善、审核把关不严格等问题，这都是出版集团难以推卸的责任。但不能因为出版集团有责任就停止反思，涉事作者确实存在“虚假同行评审”等问题，这正是国内科技界应该反思的地方。
