High-performance polymer solar cells with efficiency over 18% enabled by asymmetric side chain engineering of non-fullerene acceptors

研究内容简介:
华南理工大学黄飞课题组发展了系列带有不对称烷基链修饰的小分子受体材料,发现采用不对称烷基侧链可以使材料的性能进一步提高。通过向“Y-系列”受体中引入不同的烷基链,合成了两种新的不对称非富勒烯小分子受体EH-HD-4F和Bu-OD-4F,详细研究了不对称烷基链对分子堆积和光电特性的影响,发现EH-HD-4F的薄膜吸收光谱相较于对称的BO-4F更有利于材料对光子的捕获,从而可能获得更高的短路电流;进一步选用2-PACz作为空穴传输层制备了基于PM6:NFAs的有机太阳能器件,结果表明基于PM6:EH-HD-4F的器件能实现有效的激子解离、抑制了单分子复合并具有更平衡的载流子迁移率;通过研究不对称烷基链对共混膜形貌的影响,发现EH-HD-4F与PM6具有更好的相容性,其共混膜具更大的晶体相干长度,从而更有利于电荷的传输。得益于以上因素,PM6:EH-HD-4F的JSC从PM6:BO-4F的27.0 mA cm-2提高到27.5 mA cm-2,FF由76.7%提升至79.3%,相应的光电转化效率也由17.39%提升至18.38%(为当时报道的最高效率之一)。
该研究为有机小分子受体的侧链调控提供了一种行之有效的思路。文章发表后获得领域内科研人员的广泛关注,已被引近160余次,并入选科睿唯安“ESI高被引论文”。
