KOUKOU SUU

ULVAC公司执行董事兼高级研究员,自2019年起担任ULVAC科技公司总裁兼首席执行官。2014年至2019年,他担任全球市场和技术战略部门总经理。在此之前,他于2008年至2014年担任半导体与电子技术研究所的总经理。在半导体与电子技术研究所,他致力于新兴的非易失性存储器、高k电容、LED、电力设备、薄膜锂电池以及3D封装制造技术。

Dr.Koukou Suu is Executive Officer and Senior Fellow of ULVAC, and also President and CEO of ULVAC Technologies Inc since 2019. He was the General Manager of Global Market and Technology Strategy Division from 2014 to 2019.Prior to this, He served as the General Manager of Institute of Semiconductor and Electronics Technologies from 2008 to 2014. At Institute of Semiconductor and Electronics Technologies, he worked  on emerging non-volatile memories, high-K capacitors, LED, power devices, thin-film Li-battery as well as 3D packaging manufacturing technologies.

摘要

实现“智能社会”,智能物联网设备必不可少,智能物联网设备由微处理器、MEMS传感器/执行器、无线通信模块、包含微电池在内的独立电源以及能量采集器等组成的异质集成装置。其中电池技术尤为重要,已成为物联网设备的关键问题。

Smart IoT device, which is heterogeneous-integration packaged with microprocessor, MEMS sensor/actuator, wireless communication module, and stand-alone power supply including micro battery and energy harvester, is essential to realize “Smart Society”. Especially, battery technology is a very important among them due to becoming a fatal issue of IoT devices.


锂离子二次电池(LIBs)具有高能量密度,不容易因反复的充放电循环降解,而且对LIBs的需求一直在稳步增长,尤其是消费电子产品。然而,LIBs甚至存在因有机电解质引起的液体泄漏和起火的风险。为了从根本上解决这些问题,采用固体电解质的全固态电池已被提出并研发。

Lithium ion secondary batteries (LIBs) have particularly high energy density and do not degrade easily by repeated charge and discharge cycles, and there has been a steady increase in the demand for LIBs especially for consumer electronics. However, LIBs even have the risks of liquid leakage and fire caused by organic-based liquid electrolyte. To resolve these problems essentially, all-solid-state type batteries that use solid electrolyte has been proposed and developed.


实际上,我们一直在开发基于真空技术的全固态薄膜锂电池(TFBs)制造技术,这种电池作为固体电解质,优势不仅仅是本质上的安全,而且超薄,小型、轻便、灵活、低自放电,除此之外,我们还搭建了大规模生产技术,该技术使用了物理气相沉积(PVD)系统。在这次演讲中,我们将对TFBs作为微储能装置的技术以及我们最新的研究成果进行介绍。

Actually, we have been developing vacuum-technology based manufacturing technology for all-solid-state thin-film lithium batteries (TFBs) whose advantages are not only intrinsically safe as their being solid electrolyte but also ultrathin, small, lightweight, flexible and also low self-discharge, and established mass-production technology using physical vapor deposition (PVD) system. In this talk, we will introduce the technology of TFBs as micro energy storage devices and our recent development.
