Fucking Mozgov was the first person Mitch called at 12:01. Like that motherfucker had his cellphone dialed and ready at 12:00. He literally bid against himself and gave Moz a huge ass contract that literally no one else was going to come close to giving.

The Mitch part of this baffles me. He was a good GM. He was one of the best GMs in the league. What the fuck happened? When you look back at his track record, I have no idea how, why, or what the hell possessed him to make the Deng/Mozgov deals.

What's hilarious is the ripple effect this had around the league. There's no way guys like Mahinmi/Noah/Biyombo get their ridiculous contracts if the Lakers didn't immediately set the bar so high for middling big men.

The more I look at it the more it seems like it was a petty/destructive move from Mitch and Jim. There’s no way those two, being around basketball as long as they had, thought that Deng and Mozzy were going to help us win games.

Im curious why they dont give him some minutes at the 4. His last year in Miami he played great getting 71% of his minutes there, but last year the Lakers played him at SF 64% of the time and as an aging player who was never super athletic to begin with, it's not surprising he struggled.

i mean on one hand its nice and my checks were pretty fat for a few weeks but then on the other hand i lost my job cause the small business i worked for couldnt support me after it lol
