The army says on X that it has unleashed a wave of air attacks on eastern Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley.

An Israeli air strike has hit an apartment building in the capital’s Kola district, the first strike outside of Beirut’s southern suburbs and within the city limits, witnesses have told the Reuters news agency.

The Israeli army says after its warning systems went off in northern Israel, its “air defense fighters” successfully intercepted a projectile that was fired from Lebanon.

The Israeli military bombed the Abu Jaafar School sheltering displaced people in Beit Lahiya’s al-Sultan neighbourhood in northern Gaza, the Wafa news agency is reporting.

Our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic report that two people have been killed in an Israeli drone strike on a civilian car near Hamad City, north of Khan Younis.

Israeli fighter jets have bombed a house in Deir el-Balah’s Hakr al-Jami area, killing the woman and her child, according to the Wafa news agency.

The Public Health Emergency Operations Center of Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health says that, in addition to those killed, 359 people have been wounded as Israel continues to bomb Lebanon.

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health has said that Israeli strikes on the southern district of Bint Jbeil have left five dead.

The Ministry of Public Health’s Emergency Operations Center has announced that Israeli air strikes over the past 24 hours on towns in the Bekaa region resulted in nine people being killed and 42 wounded.

The Israeli military has said it hit dozens more targets in Lebanon during a new barrage “a short while ago”.

“The [air force] struck approximately 120 Hezbollah terror targets in southern Lebanon and deep inside Lebanese territory,” a military statement said.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant says he monitored the country’s attack on Yemen from a control room.

Israel’s military chief of staff has said that Hezbollah lost weapons, operatives and its leader in Israeli strikes on Beirut.

Israeli opposition politician Gideon Saar is joining Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, Israeli media reports.

US President Joe Biden has said that a regional conflict in the Middle East “has to be avoided”, as fresh Israeli strikes killed 77 in Lebanon today, and hit targets in Gaza and as far afield as Yemen.  

美国总统乔·拜登表示，中东地区的冲突“必须避免”，因为今天以色列的新一轮袭击在黎巴嫩造成77人死亡，并打击了加沙及远至也门的目标。

The bomb that Israel used to kill Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut last week was an American-made guided weapon, a US senator has said.

国际社会的回应和行动

British Foreign Minister David Lammy says he spoke to his French counterpart, Jean-Noel Barrot, about the situation in Lebanon.

Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez says on X that his country condemns Israel’s “bombings of Palestine, Lebanon and Yemen, which encourage large-scale war in the Middle East”.  

古巴外长布鲁诺·罗德里格斯在社交媒体X平台上表示，古巴谴责以色列对“巴勒斯坦、黎巴嫩和也门的轰炸，这助长了中东的大规模战争”。

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has sent a letter to the family of assassinated Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and to the Islamic resistance movement in Lebanon, offering his “sincerest and most profound condolences”.  

叙利亚总统巴沙尔·阿萨德向被暗杀的真主党领导人哈桑·纳斯鲁拉的家人以及黎巴嫩的伊斯兰抵抗运动发送了一封信，表示“最诚挚和深切的哀悼”。

In a statement by Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani, Iran denounced the attacks, saying they targeted a power plant and fuel tanks.

President Pezeshkian, in comments carried by Iranian state media, said Lebanon should be supported, as it endures an intense Israeli onslaught from the air. His comments also come a short while after Israeli warplanes bombed Yemen’s Hodeidah and Ras Isa.

The UN refugee agency says the situation for civilians affected by Israeli air strikes is “dire”. “More than 70,000 people have fled the country so far,” it said in a post on X.
