沙县小吃在美国开业3小时就关门,原因竟然是……人太多!
在美国纽约布鲁克林第八大道,一间刚开业不久的小餐馆生意异常火爆。餐馆门口牌子上写着四个汉字——“沙县小吃”。
但这家小吃店在开业首日仅仅3小时后,竟然就关门了!
China's restaurant chain serving Shaxian county cuisine opened its first eatery in the United States in October, but closed three hours after it opened to the public — as all dishes on the menu were sold out.
中国的餐饮连锁沙县小吃今年10月在美国开张了第一家分店,但在正式对外营业仅3小时后就关门了,因为所有餐食都已售罄。
餐厅从早上8点营业到晚上11点。午餐时间是客流高峰期,顾客多得要排队拿号。也有许多人会打电话订餐,然后再到店里自取。
镇店之王柳叶蒸饺,保守估计一天能卖出1500个。
Originating in Shaxian county, East China's Fujian province, the Shaxian Delicacies restaurant chain has already become a great success in China, presenting customers with traditional snacks such as peanut butter noodles and pork wontons.
餐饮连锁店沙县小吃起源于中国东部福建省沙县,已经在中国大获成功,经营花生酱拌面和猪肉馄饨等传统小吃。
These recipes originated more than 1,000 years ago and spread as locals left their hometown for work in faraway places.
沙县小吃的制作工艺已有1000多年历史,随着当地人离开家乡远赴外地工作而传播开来。
沙县小吃制作工艺源自古中原一带民俗,在沙县民间有着浓厚的文化底蕴,被称为古代汉族传统饮食的“活化石”,2007年,沙县小吃制作工艺被福建省政府列入“非物质文化遗产”名录。
Now, these snacks have hit the streets of New York City and captured local taste buds.
如今,沙县小吃来到了纽约,抓住了当地人的味蕾。
The newly opened restaurant in Brooklyn has received an order every two minutes during busy hours over the past month.
最新开张的这家分店坐落于美国纽约布鲁克林,过去一个月里,在用餐高峰期,每两分钟就有一份订单。
试营业期内,餐厅菜单主打沙县小吃的“四大金刚”——扁肉、拌面、蒸饺和炖罐,再加上包含炖罐、秘制红烧肉、拌青菜和米饭的超值套餐。
一顿下来,人均消费与麦当劳、肯德基等美式快餐价位相当。
来自福建省福州市的郑女士说:
"It is amazing that the Shaxian Delicacies can open its eatery near my house in America. The flavors of the food here are just the same as I remember."
“故乡的小吃能在美国的家附近开店,真是太棒了!这儿的菜品跟我记忆里味道的一样。”
据了解,纽约的沙县小吃采用的是开放式厨房。
To create a clean and brightly-lit environment, the owner of the Shaxian Delicacies eatery in New York, Shao Binfang, a 34-year-old Chinese American born in Fuzhou, designed an open kitchen in her restaurant.
为了打造清洁明亮的就餐环境,店长邵彬芳在店里设计了开放式厨房。34岁的邵彬芳是一名华裔美国人,出生在福州。
"When the customers can see the cooking process, it puts them at ease over food safety," said Shao.
她说:“当顾客能看到烹饪过程时,他们会对食品安全感到放心。”
如今,沙县小吃已经分别进驻日本、葡萄牙和美国。
Early this year, the company set up its first overseas franchise at Takadanobaba Station in Tokyo, Japan.
今年早些时候,沙县小吃在日本东京的高田马场站开张了首家海外分店。
The store reportedly made 200,000 yen (about 11,950 yuan) just five hours after opening. As of the end of September, the 80-square-meter restaurant has monthly sales of around 5 million yen.
据报道,开店的前5个小时营业额就达到了20万日元(约合11950元人民币)。截至9月底,这家80平米的店月均营业额已达大约500万日元。
The industry development center of the brand claimed that over 10 countries including the United States, Britain, Argentina, Australia and Canada, have shown interest in the chain.
沙县小吃集团的产业发展中心称,未来或将在美国、英国、阿根廷、澳大利亚和加拿大等10多个国家开设分店。
为了迎合外国顾客的口味,沙县小吃在保持传统制作工艺的基础上,进行了改良。
Wu Shaohua, owner of the Shaxian Delicacies eatery in Bordeaux, Portugal, specially prepares "fried meat" and "fried spring rolls" for local residents who like fried food.
葡萄牙波尔多沙县小吃分店的店长吴绍华介绍说,这家分店还专门为当地爱吃油炸食品的顾客准备了“油炸扁肉”和“油炸春卷”。
And to distribute semi-finished products to its franchises worldwide, the Shaxian Delicacies is building a "central kitchen."
为了能将半成品配送给全球分店,沙县小吃集团还打造了“中央厨房”。
沙县小吃投资人林里举说:
"A basket of steamed dumplings for 50 cents, delicious but not expensive, that's my childhood memory of Shaxian snacks. After I grew up, these snacks represent the diligent spirit of people from Fujian."
“一笼蒸饺五角钱,好吃而不贵,是我童年时期对沙县小吃的记忆。成年后,沙县小吃对我来说代表了福建人的拼搏精神。”
With its good quality and competitive price, Shaxian Delicacies has become a local pillar, generating sales of over 10 billion yuan annually.
物美价廉的沙县小吃已成为当地的支柱产业,年营业额超过100亿元人民币。
"In my childhood, food stalls could be seen everywhere in my hometown in Fuzhou. But this is just a small step for the company, Shaxian Delicacies, in going global," Shao said.
邵彬芳说:“在我小时候,我的家乡福州到处都是小吃摊。但对沙县小吃公司走向全球来说,这只是一小步。”
中国美食走出国门
除了沙县小吃,还有很多廉价味美的中式快餐也受到了外国顾客的青睐。
兰州牛肉面日本爆红
2017年,国内知名兰州牛肉面老字号“马子禄牛肉面”在日本的首家分店在东京神保町正式开业。
作为新面孔的兰州牛肉面初入东京就备受关注,大受热捧。日本民众排起长队只为一饱口福。
很多日本美食博主也在网上给出好评。美食博主asobuneko评价说:
兰州牛肉面的汤汁鲜美,而且面条劲道。配料配上牛肉片、辣子、香菜等,吃一口满嘴留香,让人感叹不愧是中国第一面。
纽约“老金煎饼”物美价廉
纽约中城的范德比尔特美食集市是周边上班族午饭时间的好去处,入口处一家有中文招牌的摊位前常常排起长队。这家卖的是一种在美国略显“非主流”,但在中国却家喻户晓的小吃——煎!饼!
老金出生于1977年,最早在美国波士顿大学学习中文,后来在中国留学时被煎饼深深吸引。多年之后,曾做过职业运动员并在媒体、金融业从业的他,下定决心开店卖煎饼。
Brian Goldberg, the owner of Mr. Bing's, one of the first Jianbing stands in New York City, ate Jianbing for breakfast when he studied Mandarin in China 20 years ago. Goldberg loved this Chinese crepe so much that he brought it to America.
“老金煎饼”的老板布赖恩·戈德堡在纽约开设了第一家煎饼摊。20年前,他在中国学习汉语时,早餐就常吃煎饼。戈德堡太爱吃煎饼了,还把它带到了美国。

在经过大量试验之后,老金锁定了烤鸭、醉鸡等几种口味的肉。他说,现在最热销的就是烤鸭味煎饼和原味煎饼。据说,“老金煎饼”一天能卖几百套。
最贵的一套煎饼卖到15美元,合人民币100多块钱!
限量版的黄焖鸡米饭
去年,被国外媒体热炒的黄焖鸡米饭在美国落地。
在国内基本不会超过20平米的黄焖鸡小店,到了美国立刻扩大到139平米,40个座位……
外媒的关注重点是,店里的菜单上只有“黄焖鸡米饭”这一道菜,对选择困难症患者来说十分友好。

网友们表示,在我们吃了那么多年外国炸鸡(肯德基、麦当劳……)之后,终于有只“中国鸡”让他们体验一下这神秘的东方美味了。
这么一道焖鸡配饭的售价是9.99美元,合人民币66.5元。
和意面PK的热干面
A traditional dish of central China's Wuhan City, the hot-dry noodle has been taken to Italy by a couple who opened a restaurant in Florence. The dish has become very popular and attracts many local diners.
一对夫妇把武汉的传统美食热干面带到了意大利,他们在佛罗伦萨开了一家热干面餐馆,吸引了很多当地食客,非常受欢迎。
虽说是在意大利,但热干面各种佐料样样齐全,红的萝卜丁,绿的葱花,还有蒜水、香油、香醋等等,但凡叫得上名字的一应俱全。
与在武汉吃的热干面相比,面的味道少了点辣,多了几粒花生米和几分甜。
老板表示,这是经过了一点改良,意大利人喜欢食品中有点甜味,就在萝卜丁的制作过程中,多加了点糖。
西安腊汁肉夹馍走向欧美
纽约不少快餐店里都有肉夹馍卖,虽然不是原汁原味但是也足够受人欢迎,还有的店铺专门聘请中国人来做西安肉夹馍,并且在招牌上标明。
今年,西安肉夹馍在抖音上着实火了一把,又和欧美四国合作企业签约,当地还推出西安肉夹馍制作标准。
美籍华裔Jason Wang,用父亲从家乡西安带来的家传食谱,在美国纽约打造了“西安名吃”(Xi’an Famous Foods)连锁餐厅。
干扯面、凉皮、泡馍等,让许多纽约人大开眼界,其中最受欢迎的就是肉夹馍。
烘烤微焦的馍,配上多汁的卤肉和清爽的蔬菜,每年就能吸引14万名顾客,收入超过一百万美元!
食客点评道:
The bread itself is half the reason why these burgers are so good. They are quite flavorless and dense, like a bagel. The crust is slightly crisp and the crumb is slightly chewy. They are also pretty dry, which soaks up juices from the flavor-packed meats.
肉夹馍好吃,馍有一半的功劳。它没有什么味道,非常紧实,有点像百吉饼。表皮有点脆,芯又有点嚼劲,比较干,充分吸收了肉馅的汁。
如今,“西安名吃”第十家连锁店已经开张,生意仍旧十分火爆。
