2019年1月19日，Uzi站上了大型主题演讲盛典“向上的力量——我的国我的家”的舞台，分享他的电竞之路。

在演讲开始前，双语君（微信ID：Chinadaily_Mobile）对Uzi进行了专访。

回顾2018，这位22岁的追梦少年，经历了极具戏剧性的一年。起起伏伏，Uzi选择面对现实。

按他的话说，Uzi永不言弃，重新出发。

China's League of Legends ace Jian Zihao, aka Uzi, experienced a dramatic year in 2018. 

The ups and downs only made the 22-year-old more determined, and the dream chaser would "never give up".

作为皇族电子竞技俱乐部（RNG）的明星选手，Uzi去年频频登上媒体头条。

5月份，RNG赢得英雄联盟季中冠军赛，巴黎决赛Uzi和队友一起捧杯。

7月份大连，中国LPL赛区赢得英雄联盟洲际赛，Uzi和队友们再次站在了最高领奖台上。

As the most high-profile player in the world-renowned club Royal Never Give Up (RNG), Jian started to make headlines in May when he helped RNG to win the LOL Mid-Season Invitational in Paris. Later in July, Jian helped Chinese clubs to win a regional title at the LOL Rift Rivals in Dalian.

但是，Uzi说过去一年中对他而言最重要的胜利是亚运会的夺冠之战。

2018年印尼雅加达亚运会对于电竞发展具有里程碑的意义，电子竞技项目第一次作为表演项目加入了亚运会。在六项比赛中，中国参与了英雄联盟、王者荣耀国际版和皇室战争的比赛。

Jian said that the most significant victory for him was the gold at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, in August when six e-sports titles, including LOL, were added into the Asiad as demonstration sports for the first time in history.

作为中国英雄联盟代表队的队长，简自豪带领着这只刚组成不久的队伍击败劲敌韩国，拿到了一块珍贵的金牌。

回想站在亚运会的赛场，Uzi感慨万千。

他说：“印象最深刻的一场胜利是亚运会的时候，那也是第一次我代表国家出战。”

"The most impressive victory in 2018 for me was the gold at the Asian Games, as it was the first time I represented my country," said Jian.

当时时间紧迫，还要回俱乐部参加职业联赛，队员们的磨合时间不足一个月。

“在整个亚运会期间，我们磨合了不到一个月的时间。当时大家都是去到一个新的环境，都是第一次代表国家比赛。刚开始的时候大家还有很多方面不习惯，最后慢慢地适应，发挥出了最好的状态。”

"I had only practiced with my teammates for less than a month before the Asian Games. For everyone in the team, it was a new environment because it was the first time for all of us to play as a national team player. It took time for us to adjust."

Uzi得知要去参加亚运会训练的那一刻，正躺在床上休息。接到通知后，他非常激动。

虽然当时中国英雄联盟亚运战队中有四名运动员来自RNG，但是新队伍的备战过程并不是一帆风顺。有限的时间和对队友的磨合问题都是中国队夺金的阻碍。

Although four members of the seven-men Chinese LOL squad for the Asiad were from the RNG, the preparation process was not easy. Limited time and new teammates to cooperate were all the obstacles.

除此之外，最大的挑战，还是来自劲敌韩国队。

在决赛前，中国队第一次遇见韩国队便遭遇失败。决赛中，中韩再次相遇，没人能保证中国队一定会赢。

Chinese squad was defeated by the South Korean team that was spearheaded by legend Lee Sang-hyeok, aka Faker, in the group stage of the Asiad. So when team China faced South Korea again at the final, no one was 100 percent confident that China could win.

当时Uzi心理压力特别大，心里想着不能输。

“最开始的时候，我心理压力也特别大，就是完全不能输的那种感觉。但是第一次输给韩国队之后，我自己的心态就调整得非常好了。也没有什么，我们也是有机会赢他们的。决赛遇到韩国队的时候，压力反而没有那么大。我们打好，发挥好自己的状态，是可以赢的。”

“Faker是我见过竞技状态保持最好的选手。他打职业也非常久了，但是状态一年比一年好，我对他非常尊敬。”

他说：“赢了以后非常开心、自豪。当听到国歌响起的时候，才能真正感受到赢下来有多重要。”

亚运会之后，加上季中冠军赛和洲际赛的冠军，Uzi距离完成英雄联盟界的“大满贯”只有一步之遥。下一个目标，就是2018英雄联盟全球总决赛的冠军。

After the victories of the Mid-Season Invitational, the Rift Rivals, and the Asiad, Jian was one step away from achieving a “Grand Slam” of LOL if he could help RNG pocket the title of 2018 LOL World Championship.

粉丝们期待着两次世界总决赛亚军的Uzi，能最终赢下今年的世界冠军。

但这一次，好运似乎没有站在RNG一边。

RNG在淘汰赛，爆冷出局。

With almost a perfect year, fans believed that Jian who entered the final of the world championship twice in 2013 and 2014 would get the title eventually in 2018. However, luck was not with RNG in Incheon, South Korea, where Jian's club was defeated unexpectedly in the knockout stage.

回想起三个月前八强赛中的失利，Uzi内心依然自责，难过，遗憾。

“那天比赛结束之后，我不知道我是怎么离开赛场。回到酒店，我不敢看手机，更无法相信这个结果。”

"I don't even know how I stepped out of the venue after the match. When I went back to hotel, I dared not to even look at my cell phone. I could not believe the defeat was true."

海明威曾说“一个人可以被毁灭，但不能被打败”（A man can be destroyed but not defeated.）。

直面失败，选择重新出发，这就是Uzi的选择。

“既然选择成为了一名职业选手，我就需要在失利中成长，不会沉浸在失利中无法自拔。”

"As a professional player, I have to learn and grow from the hardest defeat," Jian added. 

“永不言弃是RNG电子竞技俱乐部的口号，这也是我们的职业态度。失败与挫折，只会让我加倍努力！”

"I will face the reality and restart again. Never give up is the motto of my club. Defeat and setback would just make me to work harder."

2019荣誉演说家Uzi（简自豪）致敬向上的力量。
