- 关于艺术家 About The Artist -
欧鸣，1983年出生于湖北， 硕士毕业于北京中央美术学院，现工作和生活于上海。欧鸣最早为人所知的雕塑就是用石膏媒介进行创作的，液态的石膏在空间中具有极强的流动性，同时它固化的时间非常短。他善于运用这样的材料特性为我们呈现一个不断变化着的时空。Ou Ming, b.1983, born in Hubei. Graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master degree in Sculpture. Currently works and lives in Shanghai, China. Ou Ming's earliest known sculptures were made in plaster. Liquid plaster has strong fluidity in space but solidifies quickly. He is fascinated by using such material characteristics to present us with a constantly changing space-time.
欧鸣荣获了教育部颁发的“国家奖学金”最高奖（2007），“硕士研究生国家奖学金”最高奖（2012）；中央美术学院研究生毕业展优秀作品奖（2013），首届“艺术8.中国”国际艺术家驻地项目一等奖(2013)。于2013年举办个展《心力》（“艺术8”艺术中心，北京），2016年举办个展《速度》（Twins Art艺术空间，上海）， 2018年举办个展《水 身体 时间》（工作室画廊，上海）。
Ou Ming had received the highest award of "National Scholarship" (2007), issued by the Ministry of education, China; National scholarship for Postgraduates (2012); the Outstanding Award of the Graduate Exhibition of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (2013), Beijing; the first winner of the "YISHU8.Art Prinze, awarded by YISHU8 Art center (Co-founded with EDMOND DE ROTHSCHILD and FONDATION D'ENTREPRICE HERMES) (2013); YISHU8 International Artist residency project (2013). 2013, solo exhibition " The Power Of Your Soul" ( YISHU8 Art Center, Beijing), 2016, solo exhibition "Speed" (Twins Art, Shanghai)；2018, solo exhibition "Water Body Time" (Studio Gallery, Shanghai).

《水 身体 时间 Water Body Time》

《水，身体，时间》是欧鸣两年前在工作室画廊举办的个展。在经历了一段时间的创作和经验积累之后，欧鸣的雕塑变得越来越“简单”。作品中没有复杂的造型，观众看不到任何意图，创作主体（艺术家）也变得越来越透明。艺术家用石膏会自动固化的特性一层一层地堆积，覆盖体验石膏材料从液体到固体的触觉变化; 以及艺术家“想去做到的”与“最终变成现实”的结果之间的精神变化。展览向观众提问“水是如何触发身体行为的？我们的身体是如何感受到时间的意味的？而时间又是如何让这一切变的具体而实在的？“
Water Body Time is the second solo exhibition of Ou Ming host by Studio Gallery. Through over years of artistic practice and accumulation of experience, his sculpture has become more and more “simple”. There are no complex shapes in his work; you can’t detect any intentions as the artist himself has become more and more transparent. Since plaster solidifies quickly, the artist emphasizes this feature by gradually shaping the plaster sculpture layer by layer. During which, he experiences the tactile difference of plaster changing from liquid to solid and the spiritual transformation between what the artist “wants to do” and what “turns out to be reality” over and over again.

《速度 Speed》
“速度”的通俗理解是单位时间里通过的路程。因此，它不仅指涉时间概念，还有对空间的意味。欧鸣通过石膏与“速度”建立联系，石膏固化的时间很短，行动必须加快，快速决定的动作使石膏在固化的过程中如实留存了艺术家瞬时的内心状态。因此，展览以雕塑语言诠释了艺术家与时间和空间抽象却真实的精神博弈。
Speed, usually refers to the distance traveled per unit of time. Therefore, it not only refers to the concept of time but also combines the meaning of space. Ou Ming establishes a connection with speed through plaster; the time for plaster to solidify is short, so actions must be accelerated, and the quick and decisive actions leave the trace of the artist's instantaneous inner state in the process of solidification. Through sculptural language, the exhibition shows Ou Ming's reflection upon time and space, which is abstract but true.
