邀请函｜中原与周边：多地区互动视野下的中华文明进程

交流与融合是文化兴盛发展的必由之路。研究跨区域文化交流的历史过程，对理解中华文明的起源、特质与演变具有重要意义。本次国际会议旨在通过考古学的新发现与新研究成果，研讨史前至历史时期中原与周边地区的技术、经济、社会、文化等层面的互动与交流，并以此为视角，探索中国多元一体文化格局形成的动力机制与深远影响。久仰您在相关领域学殖深厚，成果丰硕，诚邀您拔冗莅会，共襄盛举。

因受新冠疫情影响，本次会议将采取线上与线下相结合的方式。来自低风险地区的专家学者均可线下参会。现将会议具体事项通报如下：

I am pleased to invite you to join the international conference “Central Plain of China and its neighborhoods：The development of early Chinese Civilization under the perspective of multi-regional interactions”. The main focus of this conference is to investigate the patterns of cultural interaction on economic, social, political, and cultural realms between central plain and its neighboring areas. Theoretical perspectives of cultural interaction study will be discussed combined with the newest archaeological discoveries in China and the cross-regional comparison with other parts of world.

The cultural interactions are vital for the development of local society. The broad and intensified cross-regional interaction accounts for the arise of the early Chinese civilization, but the specific mechanisms and impacts of such interactions are less thoroughly studied. We hope to promote the study of this issue through the conference. Considering your expertise and interests, we sincerely invite you to join this conference.

The themes of the conference

1.Theoretical investigations and debates of cultural interaction from archaeology, history, and anthropology.

2.Prehistoric cultural interaction between Central Plain of China and the neighboring areas.

3.Cultural interaction between Central Plain of China and the neighboring areas of Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasty.

4.Cultural interaction between Central Plain of China and the neighboring areas in imperial period.

5.The “Crescent Arc” and the cultural interaction between hinterland of China and western Eurasia
