QR Code Renewed for On-line Residency Registration

The QR code through which foreigners make on-line Residency Registration has been renewed after the Exit & Entry authority went through a brief system maintenance.

As required by Chinese law, all foreign visitors staying more than 24 hours in China are supposed to register temporary residency within 24 hours of arrival.

On making the registration, they are supposed to guarantee the authenticity of information, and make it sure to finish on time - which means within 24 hours of arrival, or they may get into trouble in various situations including applying for visa.

Visitors staying in hotels do not need to register the temporary residency on person as the hotel are expected to take care of it instead.

This is the easiest way to register. Just extract the QR code below, follow its guidance step by step, and complete the registration! 

Please be noted: Online registration can be made through wechat only!!

And of course, you can also make the registration by going to the nearest police station, which may take you some time.

A third way is to register through 深圳公安 WeChat account, or official wechat account of Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau. This is also easy if you can read Chinese.
