Lac Rose 玫瑰湖
One of the highlights of Senegal is its pink lake which is named Lake Retba but it is usually called Lac Rose by the locals. The lake is separated only by some narrow dunes from the Atlantic Ocean and, as you can imagine, its salt content is very high. Its salinity content compares to that of the Dead Sea.
塞内加尔的一个亮点是它的粉红湖，被命名为雷特巴湖，但当地人通常称之为玫瑰湖。它与大西洋之间只有一些狭窄的沙丘相隔，正如你所想象的，它的含盐量非常高，跟死海差不多。
Salt 盐
The high concentration of salt attracts salt loving algae Dunaliena Salina. These algaes produce a red pigment which helps them absorb the light in order to produce energy. The salt from the lake is used in food, leather industry and so on. It is estimated that every year the people extracts around 24,000 tons of salt from this lake.
高浓度的盐吸引了喜盐藻类盐藻。这些藻类产生一种红色色素，助于它们吸收光线为了产能量。湖中的盐用于食品、皮革工业等。据估计，每年人们从这个湖上采盐约2.4万吨。
Shades of Pink 粉红色的色调
The pink color changes according to the season, during dry season the color is dark pink and is lighter during the rain season.
颜色随季节而变，在旱季颜色为深粉红色，在雨季颜色较浅。
Shades of Lac Rose 玫瑰湖的色调
The most stunning pink shade appears during the dry season, roughly from November to June.
最迷人的粉红色一般是大约从11月到6月可以看到。
The lake is on consideration to be included in Unesco World Heritage Site.
联合国教科文组织已经在考虑把这湖列入世界遗产名单上。
