Turkey is a transcontinental country in Western Asia, with a smaller portion on the Balkan peninsula in Southeastern Europe. It borders Greece and Bulgaria to the northwest, the Black Sea to the north, Georgia to the northeast, Armenia, the Azerbaijani exclave of Nakhchivan and Iran to the east, Iraq and Syria to the southeast; Mediterranean Sea to the south, and the Aegean Sea to the west. The capital city of Turkey is Ankara and its official language is Turkish.

National Flag 国旗
The national flag of Turkey has a red background with a white star and crescent at the center. The flag is also known as “Ay yildiz” which translates to “Moon star,” it is also known as “Al Sancak,” which translates to “Red Banner.”

National Anthem 国歌
The national anthem of Turkey is “İstiklâl Marşı” which translates to “Independence March.”

The currency used in Turkey is the Turkish Lira.

Ankara 安卡拉
Ankara is the capital city of Turkey and the 2nd largest city in the country. It is the seat of government and diplomacy and is also a university city with a large student population.

Istanbul 伊斯坦布尔
