According to Ji Rong, a counsellor of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of Asian Affairs, open policy for intl students is highly likely to be announced in this summer.

Indonesia
In addition to opening more direct flights and stepping up cooperation in areas including education, tourism, youth exchanges, and local exchanges, China and Indonesia will quicken the restoration of people-to-people exchanges, including the return of Indonesian students to China. China will assist Indonesia in its efforts to establish a regional vaccination hub, and both parties will intensify their collaboration in vaccine and genetic research, development, and production.
Malaysia
First batch of Malaysian students, who are primarily studying in Jiangsu, Shanghai, and Tianjin and are enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programmes, are anticipated to arrive in China in early August. We wish them luck and success. Hopefully the second batch’s return will be scheduled soon.
Bangladesh
Flights from Dhaka to Kunming, Guangzhou, are approved by Biman. This was said today in a Facebook post by Hualong Yan, minister counsellor and deputy head of mission at the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh (July 25, 2022). According to him, the permission will make it easier for students and businesspeople to travel between the two nations.
