独立写作考题：

Do you agree or disagree with the statement: 

People in the past were more friendly than people today. 

题目解析

在独立写作考试中，出现的时间跨度一般为“现在”和“过去”的比较，特征词为today...in the past (当然这边的In the past可能换为30 or 50 years ago; 或者when your parents or grandparents were children); 当然，偶尔也会出现“现在”和“将来”的比较，但是跟现在与过去的出现的频率比较起来，现在与将来的比较题目出现的概率相对较小。

对于这类时间跨度题目，我们处理的方式其实很简单：采取“领域具体化”的方法来处理。换言之，就是比较一下现在和过去（或者现在和将来）两个不同时间段里，有什么样的领域发生了变化；其中可以涉及到的领域有：科技，经济，环境，教育，人们的意识，健康等等。

针对不同时间段，思考一下，哪些领域发生了变化、有什么不同，以及这种不同对于题目中所涉及到的话题带来什么样的影响。这样的思考，会让学生在很短的时间内，迅速的想到说服性很强的理由，以及相关展开思路。

我们用一个类似的问题进行分析

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? 

Teaching is harder than it was in the past.

这个题目中，涉及到的两个不同时间段为：in the past, today；并且题目中的话题为：teaching的难易程度。针对这个题目我们可以想到的领域有很多，比如：

现在与过去科技发展的不同，

现在与过去人们对于教育的认知的不同，

现在与过去相关政府部门对于教育所给予的帮助的不同，现在与过去人们对于教育所能承受的经济的不同。

等等

通过这些不同，我们可以看出，现在和过去，什么时候的teaching会harder一些。

针对这个题目我的态度是“过去更加harder”；换言之，现在相对easier。给出的相关思路为：

1) 意识

The society is full of competition, we need to catch up with others and even to create advantages to surpass others (English certificate or computer certificate); better educational background equals to more chances to succeed in such a severely competitive society

2）科技

The technology, to a large extent, has contributed a lot to the process of our study. （the computer and the Internet）; People used to study with the help of the limited books and

teachers; the development of the Internet renders people today much easier access to acquiring knowledge

3）政府

The government has attached much more importance to the issue of education; various policies concerning education have been carried out like the nine-year compulsory education; More opportunities for people to go abroad to further their education

如果各位将上面讲过的方法理解透彻，并且结合刚才讲过的题目一起理解，在今后的考试中遇到类似的题目，分析和处理起来绝对会变得很简单。

针对10月20日的考题理由展开思路如下

Agree: People in the past were more friendly.

1） 现如今，社会竞争很激烈（学习，工作等等），所以造成了现在高强度的生活节奏，因此，人们忙于自己的学习和工作，精神状态相对紧绷，所以对待身边人或事的关心程度不够，所以无法展现出友好的态度

参考表达：severe competition exists in our work or study, a high-intensity life rhythm, are busy with their own study and work, their mental state is relatively tight，not concerned enough about people or things around them, cannot show a friendly attitude.

2） 现如今，因为相关负面的社会新闻广泛传播，尤其是因为向别人伸出援手反而遭殃的相关新闻，人们得知该信息后，警惕性变强，所以很难态度友好，特别是与陌生相处的时候

参考表达：some relevant negative social news is widely spread, suffer a lot from offering some help to others, the vigilance becomes stronger, it is difficult for them to be friendly, especially when they interact with strangers.

今昔对比类题目还有很多，大家可以参考，比如：

A/D: It is much easier for people today to maintain healthy than those in the past.

A/D: Young people today are less dependent on their parents than young people in the past.

A/D: People now can better protect the environment than they could in the past.
