Recruit | AIRS International Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship
Introduction
The AIRS International Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship (“the fellowship”) Scheme is administered by the Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society (AIRS) for selected candidates admitted as new full-time Postdoctoral fellows (PDF) in AIRS and overseas universities researching in the academic fields that are related to AIRS’s researches and interests.
Duration and Support
Each awardee shall be granted an annual support of RMB 500,000 including salary, medical insurance, and travel support for a period up to 3 years. The default length is 1 year, renewable for another year subject to funding availability and performance evaluations.
Eligibilities and Requirements
Degree
The PDF is required to have a PhD degree (or one to be obtained soon) in related research areas (such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research) from an internationally well-known university.Supervisors
The PDF is required to have two supervisors, one from a leading overseas research institute and one from AIRS.Time management
The PDF can spend up to half of the appointment time in the overseas research institute, and spend rest of the time in AIRS.Publications
AIRS should be the PDF’s first affiliation in all publications and patents produced by the PDF during the supporting period.Application Materials

A cover letter briefly explaining the background of the candidate, the proposed research, and the collaboration history between the overseas research institute and AIRS (and between the two supervisors in particular);Complete Resume
Candidate's complete resume;One-page bios
One-page bios of the proposed supervisors: one from overseas, one from AIRS;Support letter
A support letter from the overseas supervisor, stating explicitly the willingness to host and supervise the candidate as a PDF and provide administrative and logistics support during the PDF’s stay at the overseas institute;Brief research plan
A brief research plan regarding the proposed research in AIRS (less than two pages);
Two reference letters
