海口游客中心 - 传统坡屋顶的镜像

海南岛四季常春，因其得天独厚的热带岛屿自然风光，每年吸引着大量游客前往。慕达建筑MUDA-Architects近期为海口市打造一座建筑形式新颖的游客中心，项目预计将于今年年底落成，如一颗被拾至岸边的圆润卵石，卧于盎然绿意之中，枕着涛声，为到访椰城的游客增添一处体验独特的空间场所。
海口地处中国华南地区，以热带风光与滨海特色闻名，其热带资源呈现多样性，是一座富有自然旖旎风光的南方滨海城市。随着海口西海岸城市的开发与发展，该地区致力于城市文化氛围的塑造，公园建设正逐步成为城市的门户展示空间与城市名片。
Located in south of China, Haikou is a coastal city famous for its tropical scenery and coastal features with diverse tropical resources and charming sights. With the development on the west coast of Haikou, parks are being regarded as display spaces unfolding the characteristics and the culture of the city principally.
At the end of 2019, MUDA-Architects was commissioned by the owner to design a visitor center in Haikou West Coast Southern Park, aiming to blend the indigenous spiritual and cultural heritage into local peculiarities while respecting the site and the nature.
游客中心位于西海岸南片区公园一期入口处，紧邻城市干道与北区地下停车场，设计应以自然生态为主且应具有地标性，使其成为城市风貌名片之一。建筑需符合公园整体规划的调性，巧妙应对地块的弧形边界，以流线型的姿态融入景观，与周围和谐统一。同时，也需考虑在地性，适应热带气候，融入海南水滨文化。
The visitor center sits at the entrance of the first phase of Haikou West Coast Southern Park, where a main road passes and the north underground parking lot is constructed. The proposal should be a landmark revealing features of city based on the consideration of natural ecology. In addition, the designed architecture should conform to the overall planning layout of the park, manipulates the curved boundaries of the site in harmony with the landscape and context. At the same time, it is also necessary to consider the local characteristics and adapt to the local tropical climate for weaving coastal culture of Hainan into design.
游客中心犹如一颗被海水冲刷的椭圆卵石，镶嵌在公园的入口处，与周围的景观布局相互融合,并带来独特的视觉体验。同时，设计从当地传统屋顶中汲取灵感，学习其适应当地气候的传统建筑特色。建筑形态以创新的手法，由当地传统屋顶形式镜像而生，在满足原有遮阳避雨等基础功能的前提下，创造一种新的屋顶形式。建筑将传统与现代相结合，既满足了使用需求，也呼应了海口雨水丰沛，光照强烈的热带海洋性气候。
The architecture is devised in a shape of oval pebble polished by tidal water. It is inlaid at the entrance of the park and merged with the surrounding landscape layout to provide uniqueness in visual experience. Meanwhile, the design learns from the thatched roof of local traditional cottages for its adaption to the local climate. To be innovative, the traditional roof silhouette is converted in a mirroring result to shelter visitors from the intense sunshine and large precipitation. On the premise of meeting the basic requirements as a shelter, it also combines the tradition with the modern and responses to tropical marine climate.
‖ 形体与幕墙
Tempered hollow glass curtain wall is adopted to install the ethereal façade with a sense of permeable visually, which allows tourists to enjoy the landscape views from the interior space. Perforated aluminum sunshade panels are fixed on the glass curtain wall in a rhythm of lengths forming an undulating wave to express the coastal features. Meanwhile, panels add more interests to the façade and reduce the direct sunlight in order to help in energy saving.
‖ 空间与功能
在整体布局上，建筑呈椭圆形，与场地的流线型景观完美地融合在一起，偏向一侧的内庭院与建筑形成了鲜明的虚实对比关系，作为游客进入室内的一个过渡空间，内外共享。连续的曲面屋顶采用白色金属铝板，将室内外统一起来，提供给人们一个休憩娱乐的聚散场所。
In terms of layout, the architecture is elliptical, which smoothly fits in the organic curves of surrounding landscape. The inner courtyard leaning to one side contracts with the architectural space as a combination of void-solid spaces to generate a transition in spatial experience from the exterior to interior. The continuous curved roof tiled with white aluminum metal sheets, unifies the indoor and outdoor spaces, and provides a spacious space for people to have a rest.
The curvilinear roof extends from the exterior to the interior space, and forms the spatial framework which is then filled with staggered box spaces various in height. Moreover, the shuttle-shaped stainless steel column with a brushed finish, runs through the whole space serving as structural support and enriches the spatial experience on site.
慕达建筑尊重自然，寻求创新，重视在地性与当代性。设计以亲近自然生态为主旨，充分体现场地公园特性，使建筑形态成为公园景观的一部分，进而与周边环境融为一体。以传统与创新的碰撞，建筑空间的虚实对比，打造出全新的体验式游客中心。
MUDA-Architects accentuates the respect for nature, pursues innovations, and emphasizes genius loci and contemporary approach. With the theme of communicating with natural ecology, the design fully embodies the characteristics of the site, and the architectural form is blended into the park and the context organically. The collision of tradition and innovation and the contrast between the void and solid architectural spaces, create a new experiential tourist center collectively.
