Hongjing Drive, SemiDrive ally on mass-produced L2 ADAS solution

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 10, Chinese commercial vehicle autonomous driving solution developer Hongjing Drive announced its strategic partnership with chip supplier SemiDrive.

Under the cooperation, Hongjing Drive's L2 product line will be equipped with SemiDrive's high-performance and highly reliable E3 series microcontroller unit (MCU), which will upgrade Hongjing Drive’s existing intelligent camera "smart cam" integrated machine products, and provide customers with a more competitive L2 mass-produced intelligent driving solution.

Based on its technology advantages in full-stack independent R&D, Hongjing Drive has completed deep adaptation development on SemiDrive's E3 series MCU through its advanced software algorithm, as well as system and hardware design capabilities. Both parties have fully leveraged their respective technical advantages to achieve optimal performance and cost.

SemiDrive’s E3 series product is based on ARM Cortex-R5F, with functional safety level reaching ASIL D, temperature level supporting AEC-Q100 Grade 1, CPU clock speed up to 800MHz, and up to six CPU cores. 

The E3 series can fully meet Hongjing Drive's high requirements for performance and reliability in ADAS. Based on the E3 series, the autonomous driving company's smart cam integrated machine and L2 intelligent driving assistance system products will be powered with  higher performance and lower supply chain risks, providing excellent localized support for customers and responding to client needs more quickly.

Currently, Hongjing Drive has been appointed as the supplier for a total of 25 models from SAIC Motor, Great Wall Motor, Chery, JAC Group, BYD, HOZON Auto, and others.
