与第一代Chill Wave音乐人们的快速走红不同，从六年前，发布第一张EP「The Stars」获得好评之后，Catching Flies随着自己的节奏不急不缓的前行，活跃在欧美的音乐场景之中，先后与Bonobo，Four Tet，Jon Hopkins等大牌合作。
今年，他被英国最负盛名的新音乐评奖UMA UNSIGNED MUSIC AWARD 2018提名为“最佳电子音乐表演Best Electronic Act”，成为伦敦电子乐现场的新贵。
事实上我们很难将Catching Flies作品的风格拘泥在单一的Chill Wave之中，他更像是将Jazz, House, Trap等元素有机混合，比Chill Wave更柔软顺滑，释放重力，引导着你沿着一条缓慢流动的河流，进入幸福，恍惚的状态。因此，也有人说他的音乐介于Flying Lotus和Bonobo两位电子乐大神之间，柔和且顺滑。
Catching Flies - Komorebi
才华横溢的 Catching Flies并没有止步， 在过去几年中带给我们更多的惊喜：2016年发行了迷你EP《Komorebi》和《Mama’s Wisdom》。
《Komorebi》再次将他带到The Hype Machine的第一名，并被美国嘻哈歌手Phora取样，放在他的首张专辑《Yours Truly Forever》中，直接登上了美国嘻哈音乐排行榜的第一名。
2017年，他登上了北京、孟买、新加坡、克罗地亚等世界各地的舞台。在不断进行国际演出之际，他仍获得了年度最佳混音的亚军。而这仅仅是个开始，2018年的首张专辑也已开始筹备，他将用音乐俘获更多乐迷。
Catching Flies - Stay Forever (Live)
9月30日，Cathcing Flies将登陆OIL，为乐迷带来一场晕眩的飞升体验，当晚的深圳中坚力量Sam Lai，以及CicE与Michael NG可能持续到凌晨的B2B同样值得期待，一头扎进未来感与迷幻感相互碰撞而成的浪漫跳舞派对之夜。
Catching Flies - Daymarks
When he’s not collecting glowworms and growing rare fruits, Catching Flies finds the time to make music - a bass heavy yet melodic mesh of broody electronics and intricate rhythms, containing shades of everything from hip-hop to house, from soul to jazz. He has received radio support from the likes of Giles Peterson, Annie Mac, Lauren Laverne & Huw Stephens and press support from the likes of ID Magazine, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, culminating in over 40,000,000 online streams. His music has also enjoyed a number of syncs, from viral Kanye West documentaries to a recent placement in Netflix Series ‘Ozark.’ He took his live show on the road as European tour support for electronic-jazz behemoth Bonobo and has also toured solo performing both live & DJ sets throughout the UK, Europe and Asia, concluding with a sold out live band performance with Submotion Orchestra at the prestigious Barbican Hall. He has also appeared on bills with the likes of Jon Hopkins, Little Dragon, George Fitzgerald, Actress & many more.
It all began in late 2012, when a 22 year-old Catching Flies decided to self-release his first EP, The Stars. The EP’s lead track hit the coveted #1 spot on The Hype Machine (a feat he has gone on to repeat a number of times), and the EP has been downloaded an impressive 50,000 times to date. After the success of this first EP, the young producer uploaded a number of remixes and bootlegs, further carving out his own niche. Another self-released EP soon followed, The Long Journey Home, which has since received millions of plays and BBC Radio attention from the likes of Giles Peterson, Annie Mac, Huw Stephens and B Traits.
2016 saw the release of a mini EP, consisting of two instrumental pieces: Komorebi and Mama’s Wisdom. ‘Komorebi’ took Catching Flies to the #1 spot on HypeMachine once again. The track has subsequently been sampled by US Hip-Hop sensation Phora on his debut album ‘Yours Truly Forever’ which went in straight to No.1 on the US Hip Hop Charts. Mama’s Wisdom, originally premiered in Bonobo’s BBC Radio One Essential Mix, turned into one of those ‘what is this?!’ Track ID fiascos – it was then released due to popular demand. Then followed a series of bootlegs – Quiet Nights (which amassed over 1 million plays in 2 weeks) and ‘Change of Hearts,’ a rework of a disco classic, championed by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Lauren Laverne, Julie Adenuga (Beats1) and Mary Anne Hobbs.
Catching Flies is known for his eclectic DJ sets (‘On Deck’ Thump Mix) and 2017 saw him take to the decks far and wide – from Beijing to Mumbai, Singapore to Croatia. He is just as comfortable playing in the club as he is putting together mixes for home-listening, for example his Solid Steel Radio Mix (Ninja Tune) which was awarded runner up in Best Mix of The Year, and a popular mix for ID Magazine (“one of our all time favourites”) entitled ‘The Soundtrack To The Film Of Your Imaginary Life.’ He also has a monthly show on super cool London based Radio station Radar Radio.
After all this initial praise and kudos, you sense that this is only the beginning of something very special indeed. He is currently working on his debut album to be released in 2018.
Cice
生长于南中国的温热和海风中，Cice从霓虹色的都市4/4拍开始她的旅程，那些操控观众情绪和游离地下音乐情景的时光，已渗透在她深不可测的氛围中。
在渐进和跳跃的律动里，随着她逐渐编织着空灵的形态，将你的知觉在一片古老而喜悦的地平线中释放。
Raised by the warm rays and salty breeze of South China, Cice's musical journey started with a library of 4/4 downtown neon dance vibrations, only to realise that her ambition lies on the untapped emotion of her audiences. Moving a decade forward, and the underground scene has been infiltrated by her abysmal ambient.
Within progressive tense and multiple precussion sparkle, Cice weaving her spacey melody forming, shut your eyes siblings and cousins,and gently leading your vision into a horizon of ancient spirit and joyness.
Sam Lai
受电子音乐影响多年的Sam Lai于6年前正式开始他的音乐生涯。因其出色的舞池情绪掌控力，相继受邀到深圳各大锐舞派对演出，并成为他们的常驻DJ。在多次成功举办各类型户外/仓库锐舞派对（隧道、公园、沙滩）后，Sam Lai保持谦虚的态度，不断磨练混音技术，他独特的个人风格日益明朗，在南中国的地下音乐圈开始崭露头角，备受好评。
过去两年间，除了曾受邀到深圳草莓音乐节、One Love电子音乐节、香蜜湖音乐节演出，Sam Lai也与众多著名DJ/制作人同台献技，如：英国Acid House先锋MR.C，台湾知名电子音乐人Elvis T，德国Kompakt旗下艺人Hiroshi Watanabe a.k.a Kaito，柏林Techno先驱Mijk van dijk，法国浪漫黑胶骑士Jack De Marseille，德国Berghain驻场Ambivalent，著名厂牌Perlon旗下DJ Bihn，Prime Numbers厂牌主理人Trus’me ，等同台演出。
他也是珠三角众多知名俱乐部的常客，如广州HANGOVER，深圳PEPPER，OIL，SECTOR，Public，MAGMA，DeSOUND，PEACOCK，DEMO等等。
以音乐为精神食粮的Sam Lai对选曲的态度就像厨师对食材一般讲究，深邃的情绪与律动的旋律糅合强有力的4/4拍，满足每一个挑剔的舞客的味蕾。他以深入浅出的布置为派对带来比音乐本身更丰富的东西，仿佛是一场听觉享受的完整的旅程。
Sam Lai, who’s been deeply influence by electronics dance music, started his electronics dance music journey 6 years ago. He had the experience of holding all kinds of outdoor rave parties (tunnel, park, beach, etc.) in Shenzhen since 2011. He continued to hone his mixing skills and built up his own style. He earned a good reputation in the underground music scene of south China.
He performed in Strawberry Music Festival, One Love Electronic Music Festival, Honey Lake Music Festival. He has invited to play with British Acid House Pioneer MR.C, Outstanding Electronic Dance Music Producer Elvis T, Hiroshi Watanabe a.k.a Kaito from Kompakt Germany, Berlin techno legend Mijk van dijk, France Vinyl Expert Jack De Marseille, Ambivalent from Germany, DJ Bihn from Perlon, Trus’me from Prime Numbers and many more. He has play at many famous venue in south China such as Oil Club, Pepper Club, Sector Club, Hangover, Public, Magma, DeSOUND, Peacock S.K.A, Demo Club and many more.
Sam Lai wants his audience to enjoy more than just music, he is the master at building atmosphere for party people.
Michael NG
香港DJ Michael Ng的血液里流动着深度、前卫、极律动的科技舞曲，从2007年起深陷地下太电子音乐的深渊。受到Underworld, Guy J / Âme等音乐人的影响，渐渐的他的音乐被更多的浩室元素充斥。Michael通过各种方式向全球的音乐人们取经，通过深入的研究和经验的累计，他逐渐发展出自己的音乐风格，从2011年开始在香港各个标志性的地下跳舞音乐俱乐部演出。
2014年他受到澳门音乐协会的邀请，在澳门的"Affection 004"之夜担任特邀嘉宾。除此之外，他也为Frisky电台的一档节目"Frisky Love China"制作了一集特别的节目。不论是户外音乐节还是室内地下跳舞音乐俱乐部，Michael用他独有的音乐能量在不同的舞台游刃有余。通过建立香港本土独特的DJ社群“Groove Delight”，他与他的搭档从未停止推动香港地下跳舞音乐现场的发展。
Michael Ng is a locally bred DJ in HK, focusing on deep, progressive and melodic techno.His first exposure to dance music came in 2007 when he heard Underworld's classic "BornSlippy" blasted from a friend's car. And that's where his passion and journey into under-ground electronic music began.After a brief encounter with breakbeat, his taste switched toelectro house and later expanded to melodic stuff inspired by Guy J / Âme.
Michael developed his DJing skills by digesting the podcasts from worldwide electronicmedia. He learned and practiced after absorbing the vast amount of popular and lesserknown live sets and recordings. His other major influence came from Ernest Lo, a veteranDJ and producer in Hong Kong. His skills in programming and advanced DJ techniquesmatured under the guidance of Ernest with great results. In 2011, he felt ready to share hispassion with the crowd, and began his presence in the underground club scene in HongKong.
In May 2014, he was invited by the Macau Dance Music Association to do a guestspot in the "Affection 004" club night in Macau. He also contributed a podcastto the "Frisky Love China" show by Frisky Radio. These are testaments toMichael’s ever rising popularity. The melodies and deep tech vibe of theselected track digs deep into the soul of the listeners and creates a setting that could be either rooted either at a dark and sweaty undergroundclub or, the opposite, at an outdoor location. Michael find himselfanalysing the music he listen to, even if he on a night out. He’d like to seek the chords and melodies from the tracks to get the idea how to perform in live as story and trip. Up to these years, youcan find Michael dropping hypnotic sonic grooves in club inHK scene.Meanwhile, he has established a Hong Kong DJcollective named “Groove Delight” with Ernest andRobbie Chan and Rostyslav . Their aims, apart frompromoting fresh new talents to the thriving local scene, are also to channel the most beautifulgrooves to the hearts and feet of clubbers, andto help the dance community grow healthily.
Mugi(VJ)
拥有时装、工程、平面设计和舞台表演经验的Mugi，于2015年机缘巧合下误进派对视觉领域，从此爱上VJ这份工作。他平时有大量聆听多种音乐及观看各类电影的兴趣与习惯，每次VJING都是他对听觉、视觉和艺术触觉的实时跨界再创作。每次现场他总能随着节奏，用层层交迭的素材在屏幕上幻化成梦境般的奇幻视觉。
Mugi主要活跃于香港、深圳和广州三地，曾参与的派对或演出超过50场：合作过的艺人包括Ben Klock(Brownsugar/广州)、Tiga(Pepper/深圳)、Kode9(Oil/深圳)、Mijk Van Dijk(Oil/深圳)、Elvis.T(Oil/深圳)、Goth Trad(XXX/香港)、Sunju Hargun(Hangover/广州)等等。
A science guy but loves design, graduated from department of mechanical engineering and is engaged in the clothing industry. He used to perform on theater stages while in university and is a former actor at Hong Kong Zuni and Edward Lam Theatre Company. Mugi has been listening to British rock and electric music since junior high. His first contact with electronic music party culture was in Guangzhou in 2006.
In 2015, he aroused interest in studying the relations between visual art and electronic beats. In his leisure time, he started to write with laptops and collaborate with computer image, VJ and visual artists. With the rhythm, Mugi can always converts layers of overlapping materials to fantasy visions, just like like unreal dreams, leading party animals to a wonderful space.
