弥金画廊荣幸的宣布将于愚园路1018号愚园百货内推出展览《波光粼粼》,此次展览将呈现艺术家王画所创独立品牌HMS。





关于展览 / About the Exhibition:

“叛逆的流动”系列作品受到中国画中白描水纹的启发,是对自然的水痕进行的一次三维“写生”,也是对古典白描画法的“临摹”。王画这样描述到。


创作者突破材料的局限性,通过对造型和颜色的反复调试将这个波光粼粼的方形瓷盘设计成既是单个呈现的瓷板,也可以根据空间体量无限延展拼接组成一片泛着涟漪的水面。


“波光粼粼”展出的是王画2020年夏天的创作,除了“叛逆的流动”系列,还展出了“电光”,“火光”,“霓虹”等近期作品。自然和人工感的结合是新系列想要强调的,人工机能投射在水这一再天然不过的材质,是对电和光的诗意解读,毕竟我们谁也无法清楚的解释水-这一神秘又可遇而不可求的物质。


Inspired by the traditional line drawing of water in Chinese paintings, the "Rebellious Flow" series is a three-dimensional "sketch" of natural water flow and "reproduction" of Chinese traditonal line drawing. WANG Hua described it in this way.


The creator broke through the limitation of materials, and designed these rippling square ceramic plates into not only a single existing porcelain plate, but also a stretch of rippling water freely extended and joined on the basis of space volum, through repeated adjustion of the shapes and colors.


"Rippling" is Hua's series in summer 2020. In addition to the "Rebellious Flow", recent series such as "Electric Light", "Firelight", and "Neon" were on display. The combination of nature and artificiality is what the new series want to emphasize. That the artificiality projected on water, a natural material, is a poetic interpretation of electricity and light. After all, none of us can clearly explain water, a mysterious and elusive substance.

HMS 是艺术家王画于2020年创立的独立品牌, “融化在冰激淋原野和泡泡糖树的风景里” 作为品牌第⼀季的年度主题,此外 “叛逆的流动”, “关系” 和“多嘴壶”是不定期更新的三个经典设计系列。HMS是艺术家在雕塑和装置艺术之外的领域进行的“延展创作” ,可以说是刻意将艺术和设计的理论混合并将其边界忽略的探索。“桌面展示”的尺寸设置让收藏不再苛刻,一年一主题,每款造型限量88个(包含随机制作出的所有颜色),限制数量随之也带来了创作上的自由,避免形式上“无休止”的重复,保护艺术的随机性。

王画生于中国新疆,现居住和工作于北京。2012 年于伦敦中央圣马丁艺术与设计学院毕业并获学士学位。自2014年起在景德镇驻地,随后于2018年取得英国皇家艺术学院硕士学位。画的艺术实验可以被看做是不同材料的试验场,也是理念的探索地, 有关人性、社会性和政治性的多样议题都置于其中讨论,批判任何以地域和“主义”带来的“傲慢与偏见”,关注注入高歌猛进的消费主义以及与传统文化背景密不可分的性别身份问题。画运用⼀切技法对她所体会的家庭故事与社会事件以自传体框架互相交织,叙事性视觉文本得以回声和再现。 

HMS is an independent brand founded by artist WANG Hua in 2020. "Morphing into melting ice-cream landscapes and chewing-gum tree" is the brand's annual theme for the first season, while "Rebellious Flow", "Relationship" and "Pot with multiple mouths" are three classic design collections that are updated from time to time. HMS is the artist's "extended creation" in the field in addition to sculpture and installation art, which can be said to be the exploration of deliberately mixing the theory of art and design and ignorance of its boundary. The size setting of "desktop display" makes collection no longer harsh. Each style has a limited number of 88 pieces (including all colors made at random) for one theme a year. The limited number also brings freedom of creation, avoiding "endless" repetition in form and protecting the randomness of art.

WANG Hua was born in Xinjiang Autonomous Region, China. She currently lives and works in China and Europe. She graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design,UK, in 2012. From 2014 she moved to Jingdezhen-China, the home of porcelain. After a year of intensive training at the Sculpture Ceramics Factory’s workshop, Hua received an offer from the Royal College of Art in London to continue her study in ceramics and contemporary art. She got her Masters in Ceramics and Glass at the RCA this year and is currently working in her studio in China . Hua’s experimental practice can be seen as a ceramics testing ground as well as a conceptual laboratory that investigates on diverse personal, social and political themes. Part of a generation of Chinese artists who grew up during a period of rapid urbanisation, she said “Gender, hierarchy, there is often more to this matter than meets the eye. My work to me is a surreal interpretation of the imperfect physical world.” Hua is using a range of different media and methods of making on philosophical ideas such as the unstoppable consumerism, as well as the relentless phenomenon of obsolescence. She applies all kinds of techniques on materials to echo conditions where family stories and social events are inextricably interwoven into an autobiographical structure.
