近些年来,人们常常听到“游戏化教育”、“游戏化学习”等一系列新名词。然而,到底是什么“游戏化”?什么是“教育游戏”?当教育遇上游戏,它们的碰撞是否能够为新一代的“数字原住民(Digital Native) ”和“数字移民(Digital Immigrant) ”带来教育的变革?游戏化能否为面临“双减”政策下的教育从业者提供新的教学思路?在提倡教育游戏化的同时,又能否保留教育的内核,而非流于外在形式?许多教育研究者开始思考并付诸于教育实践之中,去探究游戏化教育的价值。
We have become more or less familiar with the new words like "gamified education" and "gamified learning". However, what is "gamification"? what are "educational games"? What kind of spark would you expect to find when education meets games? Can it bring educational changes to the new generation of "digital natives" and "digital immigrants"? Can gamification give birth to new teaching ideas so as to respond to the "double reduction" policy? Can gamification retain the essence of education instead of being a mere formality? Many educational researchers begin to think and practice, aiming to find the value of gamified education.
在2021年麓湖·A4美术馆发起了“1001游戏学校”作为第七届iSTART儿童艺术节的主题,聚焦游戏之于儿童以及成人关于创造、学习与连接的多元价值。艺术节由数个主题游戏单元、特别项目、论坛等项目组成,由数十位小策展人与单元策划人联合策划,上千位小艺术家与共创者共同实现。这次主题展深度融合了艺术家与儿童的共创世界,面向更多儿童与成人开放艺术、游戏、教育共创项目的渠道。我们在尝试实践更具开放、创意的方式,反思与促进儿童与成人、家庭与学校,以及更广泛的公众展开有关于游戏创造的创想与行动。
In 2021, a program named "1001 Game School" is launched as the theme exhibition of the Seventh iSTART children's Art Festival at LUXELAKES • A4 Art Museum, focusing on the multiple values that games enable children’s and adults’ creation, learning, and connection. Composed of several theme games, special programs, forums, etc., the art festival is designed by dozens of little curators and our curators, and then realized by more than 1,000 young artists and co-creators. The theme exhibition presents a world created through deep collaboration between artists and children, offering a co-creative project around art, gaming, and education to more children and adults. A more open and innovative way is expected to review and advance gamified ideas and actions among children, adults, families, schools, and a wider audience.
在今年的iSTART项目中我们在反思游戏激发儿童创造力与成长的种种可能,比起关注游戏本身,我们更看重催生游戏的土壤与共创游戏的过程。我们并未将对游戏的研究与成果展示作为展览的基础,而是尝试以更游戏化的视角去重新发现儿童,发现人与人之间更多的交流与合作的方式。而在今年的iSTART国际教育与在地教育论坛中我们将继续提出游戏之于教育、游戏之于艺术创造更进一步的探讨,希望通过线上研讨会的形式邀请社会以及国际各界人士进行交流,提供业界对话的平台,连接国际国内的前沿思想。
The possibilities of games to inspire creativity and growth in kids are rethought this year. More attentions are paid to the cradle and co-creation of games rather than themselves. Instead of displaying research findings on games, the exhibition tries to rediscover children from a more gamified perspective and find more ways to communicate and cooperate. At this year's iSTART International Education and Local Education Forum, gamification in education and gamification in art creation will be further discussed. People from all walks of life, at home and abroad, are invited to exchange cutting-edge ideas at the online seminars.

A4美术馆作为International Society for Education through Art(国际艺术教育学会)(下面简称InSEA)的会员,在2020年作为会前会议参与到InSEA亚洲大会(Asian Regional Congress)中,2021年再次荣幸得到InSEA世界理事会的认证支持,开展本次国际教育论坛。
As a member of the International Society for Education through Art (InSEA), A4 Art Museum participated in InSEA Asian Regional Congress as a pre-conference host in 2020. This year, endorsed by InSEA World Council, we are honored to host the international education forum again.
本次线上国际教育论坛由的InSEA亚洲理事会主席、杭州师范大学美术学系主任、艺游学研究院院长胡俊博士作为主策划人,论坛主讲人则是来自从事通过游戏化探索该领域前沿的艺术教育的研究人员和教师,而两位圆桌主席则是在神经科学和a/r/tography领域的著名专家学者。这场跨国和跨学科的线上论坛将在10月23日、24日将分别开展,以“游戏化教育的价值”以及“游戏化教学的多元场景应用”两个板块的议题讨论,期待通过对话以开辟新的可能。
The online international education forum is curated by Dr. Jun Hu, chairman of InSEA Asian Regional Council, and director of Department of Art Education and director of A/r/tography Research Institute, Hangzhou Normal University. All the keynote presenters are researchers and teachers engaged in exploring the frontiers of gamification in art education. Two famous experts in neuroscience and a/r/topography acts as the round table chairmen. This transnational and interdisciplinary online forum will be held on October 23 and 24 with two topics, “Value of Games in Education” and “Multi-scene Applications of Gamification in Teaching”, aiming at new possibilities.
无论是从18世纪福禄贝尔承认游戏在教育中的作用,到19世纪蒙台梭利的“感官游戏教育”,再到20世纪杜威提出“做中学”“玩中学”的理论,都在强调游戏的教育价值。如今,学校教育在知识传授外开始重视学生包括思维、情感、态度、价值观等在内的精神世界构建;同时,大众媒介的出现从外部打破了学校教育固有的局限,各种非正式情境下的教育开始生长,教育开始从以知识为中心转向以学生为中心。“游戏化”一词也反复在各行业领域中被提出,但对于“游戏化”与“艺术教育”的研讨在国际国内都是相对少数。因此在本场论坛中将国际国内学者与参与者们连接对话,探讨“游戏化”对于艺术教育的价值意义与可能性,我们该如何重新面对游戏、创造游戏、构建游戏。
From Mr. Froebel’s belief in the centrality of play as an important educational medium in the 18th century, Montessori’s “sensory learning games" in the 19th century, to Dewey's theory of "learning by doing" and "learning by playing" in the 20th century, all these theories highlight the value of games in education. Nowadays, in addition to imparting knowledge, school education has also paid attention to building students' spiritual world, including thinking, emotion, attitude, and values. Meanwhile, its inherent limitations are broken by mass media. Consequently, education begins to develop in all kinds of informal scenes, transferring from knowledge-based to student-centered, and the word "gamification" is repeated in various fields. However, few researches on "gamification and art education" can be found at home and abroad. Therefore, the forum aims to provide a platform for international and domestic scholars and participants, to exchange their ideas on the value, significance and possibilities of gamification in art education, and the ways to face, design and build games.

杭州师范大学艺游学研究院成立于2017年,由胡俊博士担任院长、加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学(UBC)教育学院院长、国际美术教育学会(InSEA)前主席Rita Irwin担任副院长,其他研究人员为杭师大美术学院“美术教育专业”教师、教育学院心理学及特殊教育专业教师。研究院致力于“艺游学”方法论的理论发展、学术交流,以及“艺游学”课程论在美术教育、基础教育、特殊教育中的教学应用研究。
A/r/tography,简称A/R/T,三个字母分别是艺术家(artist)、研究者(researcher)、教师(teacher)三个英文单词的首字母。译为“艺游学”,是“艺术本位”的研究方法(Art-Based Research)之一。
