Suning International unveiled its smart retail experience “A Global Community of Curators” on the 3rd Salone delMobile. Milano Shanghai on November 22nd, 2018. Focusing on today’s evolving consumer needs, Suning aims to create a community experience where products of unique origins can be shared and curated.
With the rapid growth and fierce competition of the retail industry in China, online marketplaces alone no longer meet consumers’ needs for diversified shopping experience. The integration of online and offline has become a new focus among various retailers. Leveraging its robust omni-channel operations, Suning creates a highly engaging O2O e-commerce experience by immersing mid-high-income young consumers in the authentic lifestyles of different international locations. This was brought to life at Salone del Mobile. Milano Shanghai, through an exhibition titled "Issue:01 – Found Goods From Italy.” Walking through a corridor of time, people are immersed in the stories of “A day in the life” of two individuals and their daily rituals with select products. Separately, they can also have more of a multisensorial experience of sight, sound, smell, taste and touch through interactive kiosks. Guests are also involved with the exhibition by starting their own curation through a specially designed Wechat mini-program.
