盛会重临，3场开幕演出拉开第22届中国上海国际艺术节帷幕 22nd CSIAF Opens Saturday 15th!
第22届中国上海国际艺术节即将于2023年10月15日盛大启幕！作为上海全球卓越城市建设的文化名片，本届艺术节在内容体量、场次规模均超往届，国际化程度和首演占比均创历史新高。三场开幕演出将迎来一众国际级名家、名作和名团的精彩亮相。克里斯托夫·艾森巴赫将携手中外艺术家，与全新的中国上海国际艺术节节日乐团一同带来一场户外交响盛会；上海昆剧团呈现全本55出《牡丹亭》的集粹版；上海交响乐团与上海博物馆携手呈现交响诗篇《丝路颂》。
Calling all culture lovers across Shanghai! The opening performances of the 22nd China Shanghai International Arts Festival will be held from October 15th, 2023. As one of the most prestigious cultural events in the social calendar, this year’s edition will improve on previous years with more performances and events than ever before. Both the degree of internationalization and the proportion of premieres will reach a record high in this year’s edition. The three opening performances will welcome a number of international famous artists, masterpieces and famous groups. Christoph Eschenbach will work with Chinese and foreign artists with the China Shanghai International Arts Festival Orchestra; the Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe will present 55 acts of the Peony Pavilion and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Shanghai Museum will present the symphonic poem Ode to the Silk Road.
作为今年艺术节的开幕演出之一，世界顶尖指挥家克里斯托夫·艾森巴赫将携手中国上海国际艺术节节日乐团，与歌剧界魅力女高音安吉拉·乔治乌以及获得格莱美“最佳器乐独奏表演”奖的小提琴演奏家马克西姆·文格洛夫合作，呈现一场融合交响乐、小提琴独奏和歌声的艺术盛宴，此次演出也是“中国上海国际艺术节节日乐团”的全球首秀。数百名中外艺术家强强联袂，将在这场开放、欢乐、热烈的高雅艺术氛围中为观众献上精彩的演出。
As one of the headline performances of the opening CSIAF this year, the world’s top conductor Christoph Eschenbach will appear in a much anticipated collaboration with the China Shanghai International Arts Festival Orchestra, alongside world-famous soprano Angela Gheorghiu and violinist Maxim Vengerov, winner of a Grammy Best Instrumental Music Performance Solo Performance Award. Together these hugely talented individuals will present a fusion artistic feast of symphony, violin solo and singing, and this performance will proudly represent the global debut of the China Shanghai International Arts Festival Orchestra! Hundreds of virtuoso performers, both Chinese and foreign, will present a moving musical extravaganza to the audience in an elegant and refined atmosphere.
作为本届艺术节的创新之举，中国上海国际艺术节节日乐团是在中国上海国际艺术节组委会的运筹与联动下，由传奇指挥大师克里斯托夫·艾森巴赫与著名指挥家许忠担任联合音乐总监，以上海歌剧院交响乐团为班底，同时吸纳国内目前顶尖交响乐团的声部首席和优秀乐手组成的全新乐团。
A wonderful creation of the arts festival itself, the China Shanghai International Arts Festival Orchestra will this year be led by the master conductor Christoph Eschenbach with the famous conductor Xu Zhong serving as a joint musical director and the Shanghai Opera House Symphony Orchestra. This incredible combination of world famous talent promises an amazing experience for the audience.
此次演出将在上海展览中心户外喷水池广场举行，这座既有历史积淀又充满现代魅力的城市地标建筑首次将户外喷水池广场向公众敞开。当交响之声在都市中心的灯光辉映中奏响，观众将不仅领略辉煌建筑的历史风采，更能感受到一场气势恢宏、无与伦比、震撼心灵的露天艺术盛宴。
This exciting performance will be held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, a city landmark combining both history and modern elegance which will be opening its outdoor fountain square to the public for the first time. When the soothing symphony plays through the enchanting light of the city center, the audience will be able to fully appreciate the outstanding historical surroundings along with some exceptional musical performances.
《牡丹亭》作为我国戏剧文学发展史上的重要里程碑，是中华民族灿烂文化中一颗夺目的明珠。上海昆剧团汇聚全团之力，由郭小男担纲导演，岳美缇、蔡正仁、张静娴、计镇华、刘异龙、张铭荣、李小平等任艺术指导，重磅推出昆曲巅峰之作全本《牡丹亭》。
As a significant milestone in the development of the cannon of Chinese drama, the Peony Pavilion is a dazzling pearl in the splendid culture of the Chinese nation. Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe have assembled their most respected and talented performers to the stage, with directors including Guo Xiaonan, Yue Meiti, Cai Zhengren, Zhang Jingxian, Ji Zhenhua, Liu Yilong, Zhang Mingrong, Li Xiaoping and other artistic directors, and launched the Peony Pavilion, the peak of Kunqu Opera.
2022年，《牡丹亭》全本55出的演出分两天三场，在上海大剧院成功首演。演出取得了热烈的反响，媒体刊发了近70篇报道，票房创下了近年上昆新创剧目的新记录。被媒体誉为年度沪上舞台界的盛事，上海发布还将其列入“2022年上海十大新闻”。
In 2022, the 55 acts of the Peony Pavilion was performed in two days and successfully premiered at the Shanghai Grand Theatre.The performance received a rapturous response from the city’s art critics and the media published nearly 70 glowing reviews. Furthermore the box office for the event set a record for new dramas of the Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe in recent years.
作为第二十二届中国上海国际艺术节开幕演出，上海昆剧团将再次呈现汤翁原著的精髓，还原昆曲的风流雅韵，以全新的视野对传统经典进行重新思考和创作，从研究原点、探本溯源，实现了对传统经典的继承和创新。此次演出充分保留了原著的丰富内涵和人物性格，坚持文辞典雅、语言秀丽、词曲完整的传统，舞台呈现了细腻唯美、精彩纷呈的场面，展现了一幅明代社会生活的画卷。
As the opening performance of the 22nd China Shanghai International Arts Festival, Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe will once again present the essence of Tang Xianzu's original works, restore the romantic and elegant charm of Kunqu Opera, reinterpret a traditional classic with a bold and fresh perspective and highlight the importance of the inheritance of traditional classics through passion and research. The performance fully retains the rich connotation and characters of the original work, adhering to the tradition of elegant language, beautiful composition and complete lyrics and music. The stage presents a delicate, beautiful, wonderful scene, showing a picture of social life in the Ming Dynasty.
在共建“一带一路”倡议提出十周年之际，上海交响乐团将与上海博物馆携手合作，在捷豹上海交响音乐厅重磅献演交响诗篇《丝路颂》。这场音乐会选用了由赵麟、朱践耳和俞极三位作曲家在不同时期为上海交响乐团创作的三部丝路主题作品，分别是《度》《丝路梦寻》和《丝路颂》，艺术化呈现“一带一路”的历史文脉、全球视野和当代价值，传递中华民族勤劳勇敢、自强不息的精神特质，歌颂和平合作、开放包容、互学互鉴、互利共赢的丝路精神。
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road initiative, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra will work collaborate with the Shanghai Museum to present a symphonic poem Ode to the Silk Road at the Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Hall. The concert chose three Silk Road themed works by Zhao Lin, Zhu Jianer and Yu Ji, three composers in different periods for the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, respectively the Silk Road Duo, Silk Road Reverie and Ode To The Silk Road. These moving and accomplished pieces will artistically present the Belt and Road in its dramatic historical perspective, highlighting the global vision and contemporary values it represents.As a accumulation of the Chinese nation’s industrious and unyielding spirit, it will gloriously sing the praises of peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness as well as the mutual learning and benefit the project encompasses.
当朱践耳、赵麟、俞极三位作曲家在不同时期创作的丝路主题作品《度》《丝路梦寻》《丝路颂》与上海博物馆馆藏文物相遇，将以深邃的文化肌理再现中华艺术之美与民族精神力量。
When these majestic Silk Road themed works, Silk Road Duo, Silk Road Reviere and Ode to the Silk Road, written by Zhu Jianer, Zhao Lin and Yu Ji, meet the cultural relics of Shanghai Museum, they will reproduce the beauty of Chinese art and the power of national spirit with profound cultural resonance.
此次演出由著名中国指挥家余隆执棒上海交响乐团，携大提琴演奏家王健、笙演奏家吴彤、上海民族乐团笙首席演奏家赵臻等艺术家倾情联袂奉献。
This performance will be directed by the famous Chinese conductor Yu Long, with cellist Wang Jian, Sheng performer Wu Tong and Shanghai Chinese Orchestra chief performer Zhao Zhen and other artists.
