Zi Cai, Distinguished Researcher & Shanghai Jiaotong University & Condensed matter theory.
Research Interests:
1. Numerical methods in strongly correlated physics including quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) and density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) methods
2. Non-equilibrium physics in open quantum many-body systems
3. Ultracold atomic systems
Biographical Sketch:
Education2005 – 2010: Ph. D. in condensed matter physics, Institute of physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China
Appointments:
2016 - present Tenure track associate Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China
2014 – 2016: Postdoctoral scholar, Institute of quantum optics and quantum information, Austria Academy of Sciences, Innsbruck, Austria.
2012 – 2014: Postdoctoral scholar, University of Munich, Munich, Germany.
会议简介
This workshop will focus on recent advances in the field of quantum many-body computation, including Monte Carlo methods, renormalization group and tensor network methods, machine learning, etc. It aims to provide young researchers and graduate students with introductory and updated research information, promote exchange of ideas and in-depth discussions, and enhance the interactions of researchers working in relevant areas.
