报告提纲



  • The up-to-date theory unveils that the quantum repeaters are fundamental building blocks for a quantum internet, irrespectively of the topology of optical networks.

  • One way to realize it is to develop all-photonic quantum repeaters, which could lead to an energy-efficient high-speed global 'all-optical' quantum repeaters.

  • Yamamoto's group at Osaka University and Pans's group at the USTC have confirmed the working principle of the all-photonic quantum repeaters.

  • The challenge is to develop a device to generate large graph states (such as GHZ states and cluster state) efficiently.



个人简介



Koji AZUMA received his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Osaka University, University of Tokyo and Osaka University, Japan, in 2005, 2007, and 2010 respectively. He joined NTT Basic Research Laboratories, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation in 2010. His current interests are quantum information theory, especially for building the theory for a quantum internet. He was a visiting researcher at University of Toronto during 2012-2018 and at the University of Cambridge in 2017. He was a part-time lecturer in Graduate School of Pure and Applied Sciences, University of Tsukuba in 2017. He was appointed as Distinguished Scientist of NTT in 2018. From 2018, he is a Joint Appointment Researcher of the PRESTO, Japan Science and Technology Agency. From 2019, he is a Guest Associate Professor of Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University. He is currently a member of Theoretical Quantum Physics Research Group. He received Shoji Tanaka Prize from Department of Applied Physics at the University of Tokyo in 2007. He is a member of the Physical Society of Japan.

量子信息技术是当今世界前沿科技,也是各国竞相角逐的未来技术制高点,欧盟、美国、英国、德国等纷纷启动该领域的国家级战略计划。在此背景下,为了解国际上该领域的最新发展动态,推动国内外高层次学术交流,提升我国在该领域的地位和影响力,中国科学院量子信息与量子科技创新研究院于2019年9月15日至20日在合肥举办 “新兴量子技术国际会议( International Conference on Emerging Quantum Technology, ICEQT 2019 )”。本次会议包括诺贝尔物理学奖获得者及沃尔夫物理学奖获得者在内的多位国际知名学者专家参会,并于9月20日举行墨子量子奖颁奖典礼。
