个人简介
Dr. Myung-Joong Hwang received the B.S. and Ph.D degrees in physics from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in Korea in 2006 and 2013, respectively. He has been a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Martin Plenio at the Institute of Theoretical Physics at Ulm University, Germany since 2014. His research interest lies at the interface of quantum optics, condensed matter physics, and quantum technology and covers strongly interacting light-matter interactions and phase transitions in small-scale controlled quantum systems. He has published 16 papers in refereed Journals, including five papers in Physical Review Letters.

The Workshop is hosted by Peng-Huan-Wu Research Center of the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences at its South Building at Zhong Guan Cun east street 55, during the time period from November 18 to 23, 2019.
The workshop aims to bring together leading scientists at the forefront of quantum simulation and quantum devices, to discuss recent progress and new directions in this interdisciplinary field. The first three days was reserved to introductory tutorials aimed to students and young researchers. Cutting- edge research topics was covered by invited and contributed talks over the remaining days of the conference.
