Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province reported five new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, Dec.12, according to the provincial health commission.

Three of the cases were reported in Suifenhe City. The patients are close contacts of a previously reported asymptomatic carrier.

Another domestically transmitted case is a 68-year-old woman living in Dongning City, about a 40-minute drive from Suifenhe.

The fifth COVID-19 patient contracted the virus in Russia and entered Tahe County on Friday. 

According to the situation of COVID-19 prevention and control, in order to prevent the export of COVID-19 and strictly control the entry and exit of people, Dongying City will implement strict traffic control and people and vehicles will not be allowed to leave the local area from 0:00 on December 13, 2020. This notice is hereby made:

Road passenger transport, buses and taxis shall be temporarily suspended, and self-use vehicles (including electric vehicles and tricycles) shall be banned from the road.

Epidemic prevention and control, medical aid, military duty, emergency rescue, administrative law enforcement vehicles with work permits, unit certificates and unified verification and issuance of permits;

Vehicles supporting urban life, such as supermarkets, markets, postal services, logistics, water supply, power supply, gas supply, sanitation and so on, shall pass by with nucleic acid test report (negative) within 5 days and company certificate;

If a pregnant woman or a major disease needs to travel in an emergency, a temporary passage shall be allowed and a report shall be made afterward.
