视频 Video Project | #quarantine1x4 倪灏 Ni Hao
Gallery Vacancy is pleased to present the special video project #quarantine1x4 which is aiming to bring people's attention back to the core of the whole art industry–the isolation that often accompanies the creative act by artist. We have the pleasure to invite artists we work with and would like to bring viewers to artist's studio when travel ban, city lockdowns or quarantine restrictions are still distancing people from making contacts physically, and most importantly, hearing the voices from artist that have been vital as we adapt a new normal which is constantly changing through navigating our new daily routines. #quarantine1x4 consists of messages shared by each artist and responses to 4 non-linear questions, aiming to provide a rather humble genuine spontaneous scope while accessing to artist’s studio and seeing things from the eye of artist.
We would like to specially thank to those artists who are willing to participate in this project and stand together. This project will not be possible without a great number of video clips and precious materials generously shared by artists. Taking this opportunity listening to stories told by artists helps us understand how artists spend their own moments in the studio alone to always create and to make this world even more fascinating for us to live in.
