Why should I apply for it? | 为什么需要申请

A birth certificate is a pre-requisite for newborn babies in China to obtain a foreign passport or Chinese citizenship. No matter you are applying for household registration, passport or school for your children, a birth certificate is necessary.

在中国，出生证明是新生儿获得护照或中国公民身份的前提条件。无论你是为孩子申请户口、护照或学校，出生证明都是必要的。

How to apply for it? | 申请流程
01

Online registration: log in to “粤省事” → click“Childbirth”→click“Start the application”→fill in your information

粤省事线上预约：登录 → 点击“生育”→点击“开始申领”→填写信息

Parents of foreign babies must "make an appointment for on-site application ": bring all the documents to the hospital to apply for the birth certificate (name can be registered in English and Chinese)

外籍宝宝父母必须“预约现场办理”：带齐资料到医院办理出生证明处办理（可录入中英姓名）
