Foreign Friends Participate in First Bao'an Vertical Marathon

Embrace the spirit of double ninth festival and ascend to new heights! On October 22 at 3:30 PM, the 2023 Hengmingzhu Cup “Xin’an Uplifts” Vertical Marathon in Longjing Community kicks off in front of the Hengmingzhu Financial Center.
重阳宜登高！10月22日下午3时30分，恒明珠杯龙井社区2023“新安向上”垂直马拉松赛，在恒明珠金融中心鸣枪开跑。
This event marks the first-ever vertical marathon in Bao’an and even the western region of Shenzhen. Over 150 running enthusiasts from Longjing Community and Xin’an Sub-district are in 50 teams, vying for the top three positions for both men and women, as well as team rankings.
此次是宝安乃至深圳西部地区第一次举办垂直马拉松赛事。来自龙井社区和新安街道150多名跑步爱好者分为50支队伍，角逐男女前三名和团体名次。
For this vertical marathon, the Bay Area International Exchange Service Center specially invites two groups of foreign participants, hailing from countries like the United States, France, Finland, and more.
本次垂直马松赛事，湾区国际交流服务中心特意邀请了两组外籍人士参赛，他们分别来自美国、法国、芬兰等国。Established in May of this year, the Bay Area International Exchange Service Center serves as the first institution for foreigners’ convenience in Bao’an.
湾区国际交流服务中心是宝安区首个外国人服务机构，成立于今年5月。
Since its inception, the center has been dedicated to promoting Bao’an, serving foreign businesses and international talents, engaging in the development of international neighborhoods and talent districts, and organizing foreign friends to participate in community activities. By ensuring that more foreign businesses, international talents, and other international friends receive government assistance when needed, the center also aims to introduce them to Shenzhen, get them acquainted with the city, and help them reside here.
成立以来，该中心致力于宣传宝安、服务外商和国际人才，参与国际化街区和国际人才街区建设，组织外国友人参与相关活动，让更多外商、国际人才和其他国际友人在需要的时候得到政府的帮助，并通过湾区国际交流服务中心认识深圳、走进深圳、扎根深圳。
On the day of the competition, staff and volunteers of the service center arrive at the venue around 2 PM to welcome foreign participants and ensure they are well-prepared for the race. At 3:30 PM, the competition officially commence as participants, following their race numbers, are divided into groups to challenge the 1,100 steps leading up to the 60th floor of the Hengmingzhu Financial Center building.
比赛当日下午2点左右，中心工作人员和志愿者便来到现场接待外国选手们，为选手们做好赛前准备工作，3点30分，比赛正式开始，选手们按照身前的参赛序号，分组向恒明珠金融中心60楼总计1100级台阶发起挑战。
After the race, foreign participants express their excitement and joy at being able to join local residents in this event. They thank the organizers in hope that Bao’an would host more such sports events in the future, as they would eagerly sign up for them.
赛后外国选手们纷纷为能和当地居民一起参与活动感到兴奋和高兴，感谢活动组织者，并表示希望宝安区能多举办此类体育活动，他们一定会第一时间报名！
