Two more countries - France and Indonesia have announced easier visa application process for Chinese tourists!

France

On January 4, a German medium, Deutschlandfunk, reported that France will simplify the visa application process to make it easier for Chinese tourists to obtain visas. French Tourism Minister Grégoire said that the processing of Chinese visa applications will be improved and accelerated.

Plans have also been made to set up more visa offices throughout China. In addition, the fees will be reduced.

Indonesia

Indonesia is proposing visa-free access for the following countries, according to a January 8 report in the Indonesian He Ping Ri Bao.

This type of visa allows a stay of up to 30 days in Indonesian territory, but cannot be extended.

In December 2023, Indonesia's Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Santiaga, said that he aimed to finalize the proposed visa-free list by the end of 2023 or early 2024.
